About The Position

The Operational Excellence team establishes the systems, governance, and capabilities that enable Vantage to operate at scale across North America with reliability, consistency, and speed. We strengthen the scalability and performance of NA Operations: Solutions Engineering, Design Integration, Mission Critical Operations, and Customer Experience- by partnering with leaders and global functions to execute the Operations Plan of Record, standardize operating models, drive process excellence, enable data-informed decisions, and embed disciplined transformation and continuous improvement. Operational Excellence at Vantage is hands-on and outcome-driven. We combine portfolio governance, systems thinking, operational rigor, and human-centered enablement to reduce friction, increase predictability, and accelerate performance. Our team members lead high-impact initiatives, shape cross-functional execution, and directly influence how Vantage delivers on its growth, operational reliability, and customer commitments. This role will be based in Denver, CO. Following our flexible work policy (3 days in-office, 2 days flexible). The Senior Manager, Operations PMO, NA leads the execution, governance, and delivery maturity of complex, cross-functional programs across North America Operations, supporting Mission Critical Operations, Design Integration, Solutions Engineering, and Customer Experience. This role is accountable for leading a team of one or more junior team members while also directly managing high-impact programs and portfolio activities. The Senior Manager provides direction, coaching, and oversight to ensure initiatives are structured, visible, and progressing with rigor, while equipping team members to grow their program management capability and deliver consistent outcomes. This role operates at both a strategic and tactical level, aligning program execution with departmental priorities and broader Operations objectives. The Senior Manager partners with senior operational and technical leaders to shape execution strategy, resolve complex cross-functional challenges, improve governance practices, and drive results that support the overall organizational vision. Operating with significant autonomy, the Senior Manager supports policy implementation and contributes directly to short- and mid-term operational strategy execution within their portfolio.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Engineering, Business, Information Systems, or related technical discipline and/or equivalent experience required
  • 8–14+ years of experience leading large-scale, cross-functional technical or functional programs
  • Demonstrated experience managing enterprise-level initiatives with multiple intersecting workstreams
  • Experience influencing senior operational and technical stakeholders
  • Experience resolving systemic integration challenges and cross-program dependencies
  • Experience leading, mentoring, or managing junior team members, project managers, or program managers
  • Advanced systems thinking with ability to evaluate interdependencies across concurrent programs
  • Strong sequencing and execution architecture capability
  • Ability to identify and mitigate systemic risk across multi-domain initiatives
  • Executive-level communication and influence without direct authority
  • Ability to resolve cross-functional conflicts affecting sequencing and delivery
  • Ability to provide clear direction, prioritize work, and hold team members accountable for delivery outcomes
  • Strong people leadership capability with the ability to coach, develop, and manage junior team members
  • Operates effectively in ambiguous environments and defines structure for complex initiatives

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree (MBA, MS in Engineering, or similar) or equivalent experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of data center infrastructure models and operational reliability frameworks preferred
  • Experience supporting automation-enabled or AI-driven operational environments preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead enterprise-level, multi-workstream programs that span multiple operational functions and intersecting systems
  • Define execution architecture including sequencing strategy, cross-program dependency alignment, and integration gating models
  • Align prioritization and sequencing across concurrent initiatives to reduce systemic risk and execution conflicts
  • Establish structured program governance frameworks for high-impact initiatives within their portfolio
  • Drive alignment across functional leaders on scope boundaries, sequencing tradeoffs, and resource implications
  • Evaluate and prioritize complex interdependencies across concurrent programs to optimize integration timing and reduce systemic risk
  • Anticipate scaling constraints, reliability exposure, and operational friction points that extend beyond a single initiative
  • Proactively surface cross-functional tradeoffs affecting sequencing, capacity, or operational readiness
  • Facilitate resolution of high-impact conflicts that require alignment among senior operational and technical leaders
  • Ensure enterprise-level readiness, validation, and mitigation strategies are defined for programs with broad operational impact
  • Serve as accountable program lead for initiatives with significant operational and executive visibility
  • Advise senior operational and technical leaders on sequencing strategy, feasibility constraints, and integration tradeoffs
  • Present executive-ready updates that quantify systemic risk, operational impact, and decision implications
  • Shape fact-based recommendations to influence prioritization and execution strategy
  • Assist with and support continuous improvement of PMO standards, frameworks, and execution best practices
  • Mentor and guide junior team members on program structure, sequencing discipline, and risk mitigation rigor
  • Assist with delivery maturity across NA Operations through consistent program architecture and governance improvements
  • Operate effectively in ambiguous and evolving environments, defining structure where none exists
  • Make significant domain-level decisions affecting program sequencing, risk posture, and delivery outcomes
  • Exercise independent judgment in resolving complex cross-functional challenges
  • Lead, coach, and develop one or more junior team members within the Operations PMO
  • Provide day-to-day direction, prioritization, and performance guidance to ensure team members are focused on the highest-value work
  • Mentor junior team members on program structure, governance, stakeholder management, risk mitigation, and executive communication
  • Support team member growth through feedback, development planning, and consistent application of PMO standards
  • Model hands-on leadership by balancing people management responsibilities with direct ownership of complex program and portfolio work
  • Foster a culture of accountability, trust, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the PMO team
  • Handle additional duties as assigned by management
