About The Position

Own the analytics and financial planning that powers smarter decisions across Paint, DIY Accessories, and Moving. In this role, you’ll turn complex data into clear, customer-led recommendations that improve sales, margin, inventory, and in-stock across stores and omni. You’ll lead key business rhythms—forecasting, Open to Buy, line reviews, and modular walkthroughs—while influencing merchants with compelling insights and driving process and technology improvements. About Paint, DIY Accessories and Moving This category supports customers through high-intent moments—refreshing a space, starting a DIY project, or preparing for a move—where availability, value, and ease of shop matter. The team operates through disciplined planning and performance routines, partnering closely with merchants, omni teams, and suppliers to deliver the right assortment at the right time. This role strengthens category execution by connecting customer behavior and trend signals to forecasts, budgets, and actionable strategies that improve performance across every touchpoint.

Requirements

  • Experience owning forecasts, budgets, and P&L drivers for a complex category or comparable business
  • Advanced analytics capability: hypothesis testing, automation-minded forecasting, and visualization storytelling
  • Working knowledge of OTB, markdown management, line reviews, modular execution, and promo planning
  • Ability to translate omni customer signals into assortment, pricing, and inventory recommendations
  • Stakeholder influence skills with merchants; comfort presenting insights to senior leaders
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field and 4 years’ experience in retail, merchandising, forecasting, or related area. OR 6 years’ experience in retail, merchandising, forecasting, or related area.

Responsibilities

  • Own category/subcategory forecasts, unit plans, and ladder plans; align projections with cross-functional inputs
  • Drive Open to Buy (30/60/90) discussions on drivers, opportunities, action plans, and get-well dates
  • Build category budgets, financial targets, and bridge plans; support P&L recaps and QBRs with risk/upside ranges
  • Deliver line review, modular, and feature/promo analytics (including post-mod performance) to guide decisions
  • Support supplier negotiations and JBP with financial inputs, scenario analysis, and risk identification
