About The Position

Relocation required to Bentonville, AR. This role helps shape the future of Beauty at Walmart by transforming complex merchandising data into clear, high-impact decisions. As Senior Manager, Merchandising Business Analytics, you will partner with merchant and cross-functional leaders to enhance category performance through forecasting, financial insights, and customer-led analytics. This is a highly visible position for a strategic thinker capable of connecting trends to actionable strategies, driving profitable growth, improving in-stock rates, and enhancing the omni-channel experience at scale. Beauty is one of Walmart’s most dynamic and trend-driven businesses, encompassing skincare, cosmetics, hair care, fragrance, and tools across both physical stores and digital platforms. The team operates using disciplined business rhythms, including forecasting, line reviews, and modular and promotional planning, in close collaboration with suppliers and internal partners. This position strengthens planning and execution by translating customer and category signals into actionable insights for leaders, thereby helping the Beauty team deliver the right assortment, manage inventory and markdown risks, and succeed with customers across all touchpoints.

Requirements

  • 6+ years in merchandising, category analytics, finance, or strategy with measurable business impact
  • Advanced forecasting and financial acumen (P&L drivers, margin, inventory, markdown dynamics)
  • Strong data/BI skills (e.g., SQL plus Tableau/Power BI) and ability to build decision-ready narratives
  • Experience influencing senior stakeholders with structured insights and clear recommendations
  • Proven ability to scale analytics through process improvement and automation
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Statistics, or related field and 4 years’ experience in data analytics, project management, business, or related area. OR 6 years’ experience in data analytics, project management, business, or related area.
  • 2 years’ experience using intermediate functionality of Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

  • Own recurring category performance insights (sales, margin, inventory, in-stock) and translate them into actions for merchant leaders
  • Build and maintain forecasts and scenario analyses to inform key decisions and business rhythms
  • Develop executive-ready storytelling using dashboards and visualizations to influence strategy and priorities
  • Identify risks/opportunities and recommend actions across assortment, pricing, promotions, and modular execution
  • Improve analytics processes and tools to increase speed, accuracy, and decision quality
