About The Position

Humana is seeking licensed, experienced, self-driven people leaders to join their team as Senior Manager, Medicare Sales. This role focuses on motivating, training, and driving a team of Medicare Sales Field Agents who sell individual health plan products and educate beneficiaries on Humana's services in a field setting. The Senior Manager will also be responsible for actively recruiting new agents for their team as needed. The role involves coaching, mentoring, educating, motivating, and training sales individuals, with a strong emphasis on people leadership, market understanding, operational problem-solving, and creative sales solutions within CMS guidelines. Additionally, the position requires cultivating and maintaining relationships with customers, internal/external business partners, and the community through various interaction methods. Developing marketing budgets and seeking branding opportunities are also key responsibilities. This is a field-based position requiring the manager to be actively involved in the Southside of Chicago area, including Tinsley Park, Oak Park, and Joliet, IL, working with their team and meeting members face-to-face. Requirements

  • Must reside in the Chicago, IL area or be willing to relocate.
  • Active Health Insurance License.
  • 2+ years of Medicare sales or other related sales experience.
  • Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Ability to lead a team of sales associates and train them in successful sales techniques, educational presentation skills, utilizing technology tools, and building relationships with communities and medical providers.
  • Strong aptitude for technology with proficiency in MS Office products, various CRM platforms, and various iPhone app capabilities.
  • Must be a strong leader and a strong producer.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to adapt and overcome when necessary.
  • Community Engagement/Grassroots experience in marketing Medicare plans in the community.
  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences.
  • Valid state driver's license.
  • Proof of personal vehicle liability insurance with at least 25/25/10 limits.
