About The Position

Humana is seeking licensed, experienced, and self-driven people leaders to join their team as Senior Managers of Medicare Sales. This role involves motivating, training, and driving a team of Medicare Sales Field Agents who sell individual health plan products and educate beneficiaries on Humana's services in a field setting. The Senior Manager will also be responsible for actively recruiting new agents for their team as needed. The role is field-based, requiring the individual to be out in the field in the Southside of Chicago - Tinsley Park, Oak Park, Joliet, IL area, working with their team and meeting members face-to-face. The ideal candidate will be a strong people leader with a solid understanding of the market, the ability to resolve operational problems, and provide creative solutions to increase sales while adhering to CMS guidelines. This position also involves cultivating and maintaining relationships with Humana's customers, internal and external business partners, and the community through various interaction methods. Developing marketing budgets and identifying branding opportunities are also part of the responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Must reside in the Chicago, IL area or be willing to relocate.
  • Active Health Insurance License.
  • 2+ years of Medicare sales or other related sales experience.
  • Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Ability to lead a team of sales associates and train them in successful sales techniques, educational presentation skills, utilizing technology tools as well as building relationships with communities and medical providers.
  • Strong aptitude for technology with proficiency in MS Office products, various CRM platforms, and various iPhone app capabilities.
  • Must be a strong leader, strong producer.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to adapt and overcome when necessary.
  • Community Engagement/Grassroots experience in marketing Medicare plans in the community.
  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences.
  • This role is part of Humana's Driver safety program and therefore requires an individual to have a valid state driver's license and proof of personal vehicle liability insurance with at least 25/25/10 limits.

Responsibilities
