About The Position

The Senior Manager, Material Planning is responsible for establishing policies that guide strategies and execution for planning tools, processes, and personnel overseeing raw-component planning. The role covers component yield planning, lineside kanban sizing, MRP plan-load accuracy and integrity, ECO process guidance and best practices, planning and excess-and-obsolete (E&O) mitigation for major product transitions, and chronic-shortage analysis. The position partners with Planning, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Service teams to streamline component planning and material flow, strengthen operational excellence, and coordinate recovery plans for chronic shortages and material movement from warehouses to production lines. The role manages component-level planning and MRP integrity, including demand changes, component buffering and inventory strategies, E&O analysis, and root-cause investigation. It leads yield reviews and material-load processes with Procurement, and lineside kanban sizing and closed-loop implementation with Manufacturing, Warehouse, and Inventory Control teams. It also coordinates shortage recovery, factory-to-factory material transfers and raw-material allocation, product-transition planning, alternate-parts planning, and NPI material cleanup. The position establishes performance metrics and facilitates improvements to planning tools and ERP/MRP functionality to support scalable raw-material planning. It requires strong cross-functional influence, stakeholder alignment, analytical problem-solving, and operational-excellence leadership. The role is fully onsite, on the day shift, and requires approximately 20% domestic and international travel.
