About The Position

The Senior Manager, Marketplace, leads assortment strategy and business process improvements to enhance category performance and operational excellence. This role collaborates with merchants and stakeholders to develop data-driven plans, optimize seller performance, and implement innovative solutions aligned with market trends. The position requires expertise in data transformation, negotiation, and strategic business acumen to influence decision-making and drive measurable results. This is a highly visible role, leading one of the largest L2s across Marketplace! The Marketplace AM team focuses on category growth, seller success, and operational excellence. This team collaborates cross-functionally to drive strategic account management and implement scalable solutions that address seller challenges. It develops engagement strategies to increase seller participation and unlocks opportunities through strong partnerships with internal stakeholders. Utilizing data-driven insights, the team monitors performance against key metrics and supports high-volume sellers. Leading a group of 3–4 associates, the team fosters continuous improvement and operational efficiency to achieve business objectives and enhance marketplace impact.

Requirements

  • Proven expertise in assortment strategy management with ability to analyze performance metrics and develop actionable plans.
  • Strong knowledge of business process improvement methodologies and experience driving organizational change.
  • Proficiency in data transformation, management, and visualization to support decision-making and reporting.
  • Demonstrated success in building and maintaining effective partnerships with stakeholders to influence outcomes.
  • Strategic business acumen with ability to translate market trends and business insights into executable initiatives.
  • Experience in negotiation and managing supplier agreements to achieve favorable results.
  • Leadership skills to guide teams, foster operational excellence, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field and 4 years’ experience in Business Management, Marketing, Omni-Channel Merchandising, or a related area.
  • 6 years’ experience in Business Management, Marketing, Omni-Channel Merchandising, or a related area.
