About The Position

As the Senior Manager, Marketing, you will lead the strategic development and execution of best-in-class marketing plans for a portfolio of Jazwares’ most exciting brands. Reporting directly to the Director, Boys and Costumes Marketing, you will act as a central hub, partnering with Brand, PR, Creative, DTC, and Sales teams to ignite brand awareness and drive global growth for iconic brands like Pokémon, Marvel, and Star Wars. The ideal candidate will have the creative spark to conceive marketing plans that drive consumer imagination and purchase, the communication skills to build buy-in and excite partners, and the passionate determination to drive projects to completion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, digital marketing, or another related field is a plus.
  • 7+ years of progressive marketing, TV/digital, social media, paid media.
  • Experience managing brand partnerships and product collaborations
  • Understanding of the licensing industry, particularly across entertainment/character IP
  • Proven ability to leverage partnership strategy across multiple categories and tiers of retailers to drive franchise growth
  • Strong understanding of social media and influencers as marketing levers
  • Experience developing messaging and marketing programs targeting wide demographics including kids 5-12, parents, and adult collectors.
  • Able to work cross-functionally and reciprocally with multiple departments (Social, Product Development, Licensing, Sales, Legal, Finance)
  • Experience managing agency partnerships from RFP through campaign execution
  • A self-motivated problem solver who thrives in fast-paced environments and can pivot between multiple high-priority projects without losing sight of the details
  • Exceptional verbal and written skills with the ability to influence and align diverse individuals at all organizational levels
  • Ability to cultivate and foster strong working relationships with internal and external teams to drive collaboration and impactful execution
  • Interest in trends, pop culture, and entertainment
  • Ability to travel as needed

Responsibilities

  • Drive the strategic development and tactical execution of integrated marketing plans to build brand awareness and drive sales.
  • Work alongside the Brand team to stay updated on product launches, retail exclusives, and key brand beats. Must be able to react to and adjust marketing plans in real-time.
  • Ideate compelling creative concepts and manage asset development across brands in portfolio including TV commercials, digital and social content, and photography.
  • Partner closely with the DTC, Sales, Retail Development, Creative and other internal teams to align on overall goals and execute strategic campaigns.
  • Develop marketing plans and presentations that clearly communicate key information to brand partners, licensors, retailers, and leadership.
  • Manage external agencies with regards to digital media, creative development, and influencer marketing.
  • Ability to develop project timelines, track projects and push forward to meet project goals and deadlines.
  • Assess the effectiveness of the various marketing campaigns under their responsibility: organize postmortems and present key takeaways to leadership.
  • Regularly review and report trends, sales data and consumer behaviors.
  • Partner with the Social team to develop social media and influencer strategies to ensure plans align with overall brand and marketing goals.
  • Develop creative briefs and manage relationships with external agency partners for social and video creative, paid digital and linear media, influencers, print, e-commerce and more.
  • Understand various ad platforms such as Meta and Google to assess the effectiveness of the various marketing campaigns under their responsibility: organize postmortems and present key takeaways to leadership.
  • Support retailer and licensor relationships by providing regular updates on marketing plans and identifying potential partnerships and collaborations.
