About The Position

L3Harris is seeking a Senior Manager, Manufacturing Engineering to lead manufacturing engineering and program engineering activities at its Tempe, Arizona site. The role provides strategic and operational direction for engineering execution in support of production, quality, cost, schedule, and program objectives. The position offers the opportunity to shape manufacturing performance, develop technical teams, and contribute to mission-critical solutions within Integrated Vision Solutions.

The position follows a 9/80 schedule: employees work 9 out of every 14 days, totaling 80 hours, and have every other Friday off. Travel of up to 10% is required to support business and program needs. The employee must be able to obtain and maintain a United States Secret security clearance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field and a minimum of 12 years of prior related experience; alternatively, a graduate degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience; or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a United States Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing engineering and program engineering teams in support of production and program execution objectives.
• Provide direction for manufacturing processes, production support, process improvement, and engineering execution across assigned programs.
• Partner with operations, quality, supply chain, and program leadership to achieve cost, schedule, quality, and delivery commitments.
• Drive manufacturing readiness, producibility, and continuous improvement initiatives to improve throughput, efficiency, and product quality.
• Support the transition of products from development into production, including planning, risk identification, and execution readiness.
• Guide resolution of technical, production, and process-related issues affecting manufacturing performance.
• Lead, coach, and develop engineering talent, including performance management, succession planning, and organizational capability growth.
• Support compliance with company policies, regulatory standards, and customer requirements within manufacturing and engineering operations.
• Travel up to 10% in support of business and program needs.
