As Senior Manager IT Portfolio, you are a key leader within PMI Tech, responsible for governing IT demand and the END‑to‑end portfolio lifecycle to ensure technology investments are aligned with PMI US business priorities and digital strategy.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in managerial roles leading strategy, portfolio, and large‑scale initiatives; strong preference for candidates with a strategic consulting background.
  • Master’s degree or MBA or equivalent experience.
  • Deep experience in IT strategy, digital or technology portfolio, program, and investment management within complex, multinational environments.
  • Proven ability to influence, partner with, and challenge senior leaders across business, finance, and technology.
  • Strong financial and business insight, including reason development, benefits tracking, portfolio trade‑off decisions, and advanced analytical and numerical problem‑solving skills.
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering top‑end strategic problem solving and large transformation or enterprise‑wide programs.
  • Strong capability managing portfolio‑level risks, dependencies, and performance metrics across multiple initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Own and drive PMI Tech US demand and portfolio management processes from ideation through delivery and benefits realization, ensuring investments improve strategic and financial value.
  • Partner closely with PMI Tech leaders, business functions, finance, and strategy teams to build, govern, and continuously optimize the IT investment portfolio.
  • Evaluate, challenge, and prioritize investment requests; balancing strategic alignment, value creation, risk, dependencies, and resource constraints.
  • Prepare portfolio insights, recommendations, and decision materials for Digital Investment Committees and senior IT leadership forums.
  • Lead portfolio performance management, including value realization, cost, risk, dependency, and issue tracking across major programs and initiatives.
  • Support annual and quarterly IT strategy reviews, lead planning processes across platforms, and ensure alignment with regions and global headquarters.
  • Lead selected cross‑functional critical initiatives and continuous improvement efforts, developing tools, processes, and governance frameworks to increase transparency, quality of execution, and business impact.
  • Support the "run the business" activities of PMI Tech, including coordination of strategy sub‑streams, preparation of leadership meetings, and follow‑up on key actions.
