About The Position

This role is for a Senior Manager, IT Delivery who will lead the enterprise rollout and adoption of agentic AI and generative AI platforms. The manager will oversee a team of AI/ML engineers, agentic AI developers, and technical enablement staff, setting performance standards and making compensation decisions. They will manage the evaluation, selection, and governance of IT/AI vendor products, including running proof-of-concept sandboxes. This role requires close collaboration with business clients to define requirements and with senior management to develop staffing and operational plans for the AI team, leveraging a global workforce. The position involves participating in the development of short- and long-term strategy and goals for AI adoption, monitoring adoption metrics, and developing enterprise AI governance policies to meet regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will identify opportunities for continuous improvement, evaluate AI strategies, architectures, and technologies, and lead quality, risk, and compliance initiatives. They will work with senior management, risk, legal, and compliance partners on AI strategy goals and present AI platform adoption status and metrics to management and architecture review boards. Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders is crucial for successful, responsibly governed AI outcomes. The role also includes participating in the development of the department budget for AI platform investments, tooling, and staffing, ensuring operations stay within budget. The manager will lead the strategy and execution for building, buying, and integrating AI technology solutions, balancing innovation speed with enterprise risk tolerance, and ensuring compliance with IT, security, data privacy, and responsible AI policies. Establishing and verifying observability, audit trail, and monitoring controls is essential. The role also involves participating in special projects like AI innovation sandboxes and cross-functional AI governance councils.

Requirements

  • Minimum of ten years related work experience, with at least five years of project/program management experience, including direct experience leading teams that build or operationalize AI/ML, generative AI, or agentic AI solutions.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.

  • Demonstrated familiarity with AI platforms and AWS, agentic AI architectures, and AI governance frameworks — including model risk management, responsible/ethical AI, observability, and audit practices — strongly preferred, especially within regulated environments.

Responsibilities

  • Hires, evaluates, and supervises a team of AI/ML engineers, agentic AI developers, and technical enablement staff.
  • Works alongside the team to help build agentic AI and generative AI skills — creating opportunities for hands-on experimentation, knowledge-sharing, and exposure to new capabilities so the team continuously grows its expertise.
  • Sets performance standards, reviews performance, and makes informed compensation decisions in accordance with all applicable Human Resources policies and procedures.
  • Leads the enterprise rollout and adoption of agentic AI and generative AI platforms.
  • Manages the evaluation, selection, and governance of IT/AI vendor products, including running isolated proof-of-concept sandboxes to safely test new capabilities before enterprise deployment.
  • Works with business clients to determine scope, define use cases, and develop environmental and technical requirements for each initiative.
  • Works closely with management to develop and implement staffing and operational plans for the agentic AI team.
  • Effectively leverages various staffing options and manages a global workforce.
  • Participates in the development of short- and long-term strategy and goals for agentic and generative AI adoption across the enterprise.
  • Monitors and reports on platform adoption metrics, model and agent performance, and overall program effectiveness.
  • Develops and implements enterprise AI governance policies, procedures, and standards — including model risk management, responsible/ethical AI, observability, monitoring, and audit frameworks — to meet evolving regulatory requirements and changing business needs.
  • Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement and evaluates and recommends appropriate agentic AI and generative AI strategies, architectures, and technologies for building products and delivering services.
  • Leads quality, risk, and compliance initiatives to ensure agentic AI and generative AI solutions meet enterprise standards for governance, observability (logging, monitoring, explainability), auditability, and risk mitigation.
  • Works with senior management, risk, legal, and compliance partners in the planning, development, and execution of short- and long-range AI strategy goals.
  • Presents AI platform adoption status, governance and risk metrics, and departmental initiatives at meetings with management, architecture review boards, and project peers.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with key stakeholders — business, risk, compliance, and technology architecture — to provide long-term collaboration and deliver successful, responsibly governed AI outcomes.
  • Participates in the development of the department budget for AI platform investments, tooling, and staffing.
  • Reviews expenses and ensures the department operates within budgetary guidelines.
  • Leads the strategy and execution to build, buy, and integrate agentic AI and generative AI technology solutions, balancing innovation speed with enterprise risk tolerance.
  • Ensures staff and AI solutions comply with information technology, information security, data privacy, and responsible AI / model risk management policies and procedures.
  • Establishes and verifies observability, audit trail, and monitoring controls so that all agentic AI deliverables meet enterprise governance and regulatory requirements.
  • Participates in special projects — such as AI innovation sandboxes, vendor onboarding for emerging AI technologies, and cross-functional AI governance councils — and performs other duties as assigned.
