About The Position

West Monroe is seeking a Senior Manager to join their Healthcare Practice team. This team partners with health plans and dental plans to uncover opportunities, develop clear roadmaps, and deliver measurable improvements in outcomes. As a Senior Manager, you will serve as a trusted client service leader responsible for leading large, complex transformation engagements, growing strategic client relationships, originating new business opportunities, and developing high-performing consulting teams. You will play a pivotal role in shaping client strategy, expanding our healthcare practice, and mentoring the next generation of leaders at West Monroe.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
  • 8+ years of consulting experience working directly with healthcare clients, including experience leading large, complex client engagements
  • Deep understanding of healthcare payer and/or dental plan operations, strategy, and transformation
  • Demonstrated success leading enterprise transformation initiatives involving organizational transformation, operating model redesign, process improvement, technology implementation, or product development
  • Proven experience managing engagement financials, staffing, profitability, and delivery across multiple concurrent engagements
  • Experience serving as a trusted advisor to executive and C-suite client stakeholders
  • Demonstrated success originating new business, expanding existing client accounts, and leading pursuit activities
  • Experience developing consulting offerings, methodologies, and reusable assets
  • Strong people leadership experience, including coaching, career development, performance management, and team building
  • Exceptional executive communication, presentation, and relationship management skills
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to travel to client sites (30–50%)
  • A commitment to inclusion and diversity, and openness to new ideas and perspectives

Responsibilities

  • Lead large, complex healthcare transformation engagements, overseeing scope, budget, staffing, profitability, delivery quality, and overall engagement performance
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive client stakeholders, helping organizations solve complex operational, technology, and business challenges
  • Develop strategic transformation roadmaps and guide clients through organizational, process, and technology change initiatives
  • Lead multidisciplinary consulting teams across multiple concurrent engagements while ensuring exceptional client outcomes and delivery excellence
  • Oversee engagement governance, executive communications, and steering committee meetings while proactively managing risks and resolving complex delivery challenges
  • Apply deep healthcare industry expertise to help clients improve performance, accelerate transformation, and deliver measurable business value
  • Ensure compliance with quality assurance, legal, and risk management standards across all engagements
  • Leverage AI tools to improve delivery quality, accelerate project execution, and create greater value for clients
  • Serve as the primary relationship leader for strategic healthcare clients, identifying opportunities to deepen partnerships and expand West Monroe's impact
  • Originate new business opportunities within existing accounts while supporting growth into new client organizations
  • Lead pursuit strategy, proposal development, executive presentations, and contract negotiations for new work, change orders, and engagement extensions
  • Build long-term executive relationships that position West Monroe as a trusted advisor across the healthcare ecosystem
  • Represent West Monroe through industry events, conferences, networking, and thought leadership activities
  • Mentor, coach, and develop consultants, managers, and emerging leaders while serving as a Career Advisor
  • Lead recruiting efforts and help attract, interview, and retain top consulting talent
  • Develop new healthcare offerings, reusable assets, methodologies, and delivery frameworks that strengthen practice capabilities
  • Drive continuous improvement across the Healthcare Practice by identifying new service offerings and innovative delivery approaches
  • Foster an inclusive, collaborative culture through active participation in practice initiatives, leadership activities, and community-building efforts
