About The Position

This role is responsible for performing revenue recognition evaluations under ASC 606 for new product launches, new contracts, and reimbursement agreements. The Senior Manager will review new agreements and complex gross-to-net matters, ensuring technical accounting conclusions are applied consistently and appropriately by local accounting teams. This position will also document accounting policies related to revenue and gross-to-net matters in collaboration with International and North America revenue accounting teams, partner with cross-functional teams on contract drafting, and work closely with global accounting, finance, and commercial organizations to support financial revenue reporting requirements. Additionally, the role involves partnering with the SEC Reporting team for revenue-related disclosures and supporting audits through the preparation of memos and schedules.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
Typically requires 7 years of progressive accounting experience in pharmaceutical or life science revenue accounting or a technical accounting role, or the equivalent combination of education and experience
Public accounting experience required

Nice To Haves

CPA preferred
Knowledge of US GAAP revenue accounting guidance, including ASC 606
Experience researching revenue accounting and complex gross-to-net accounting matters
Experience preparing accounting documentation, memos, and revenue-related disclosures
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Strong written communication and memo drafting skills
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to collaborate across and within different levels of the organization
Ability to effectively present complex accounting analyses to senior management

Responsibilities

Perform revenue recognition evaluations under ASC 606 for new product launches, new contracts, and reimbursement agreements
Review new agreements and complex gross-to-net matters and help ensure technical accounting conclusions are applied consistently and appropriately by local accounting teams
Document accounting policies related to revenue and gross-to-net matters in collaboration with International and North America revenue accounting teams, as needed
Partner with cross-functional teams that review and support the contract drafting process
Work closely with global accounting, finance, and commercial organizations to support internal and external financial revenue reporting requirements
Partner with the SEC Reporting team to prepare revenue-related disclosures for SEC filings
Support quarterly and annual reviews and audits through preparation of revenue recognition memos, audit schedules, and other auditor requests
