About The Position

Snyk is looking for a Senior Manager, Revenue Accounting to own revenue recognition under ASC 606 and lead the revenue workstream of our month-end and quarter-end close. This is a highly visible role on our Quote-to-Cash finance team, working closely with Deal Desk, Sales, Legal, Billing, and FP&A to ensure the timely and accurate accounting and reporting of revenue. You will review complex customer contracts, own the revenue configuration across our Quote-to-Cash systems, prepare key external revenue disclosures, and manage and develop a team of revenue accountants as Snyk scales.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive revenue accounting or public accounting experience, including time in a SaaS or software company.
  • Strong technical knowledge of ASC 606 and internal controls, with experience researching and concluding on complex contracts.
  • Hands-on experience with NetSuite (ARM preferred) and Salesforce.
  • Experience leading, reviewing, and developing accountants.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • An agile mindset with a focus on continuous improvement, especially around automating key revenue processes.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Zone Billing, Sigma, or Claude Cowork a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end ASC 606 revenue recognition process across Snyk’s subscription, usage/consumption-based, and marketplace arrangements.
  • Lead the revenue workstream of the month-end and quarter-end close for revenue, deferred revenue, unbilled, and contract asset accounts using NetSuite ARM.
  • Champion the use of AI across the revenue function, building and deploying tools such as Claude Skills and Sigma to automate processes.
  • Advise Deal Desk, Sales, Legal, and Strategy Ops on the accounting impact of proposed deal structures and non-standard terms, driving issues through to resolution.
  • Review complex customer contracts, amendments, and modifications to determine the appropriate revenue treatment, confirming they are recorded correctly.
  • Prepare and review revenue journal entries and reconciliations of deferred revenue, contract assets, and unbilled accounts receivable, including roll-forward schedules.
  • Lead monthly and quarterly revenue flux and variance analysis, explaining key drivers to Accounting and FP&A leadership.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors on revenue matters, managing PBC requests and audit support schedules.
  • Maintain the SSP analysis and own performance obligation allocations and revenue recognition rules, updating them as pricing and packaging evolve.
  • Document and maintain revenue accounting policies, procedures, and process narratives.
  • Hire, train, and develop revenue accountants, reviewing their work and supporting their growth.
