About The Position

Global Transaction Banking (GTB) is the payments and transaction engine of Scotiabank, supporting Small Business, Commercial, and Corporate clients with treasury management solutions and a best-in-class service model. As businesses evolve their digital capabilities and operating models, their payment needs are also changing. GTB offers a unique global footprint and a comprehensive suite of innovative banking solutions to help clients achieve operational efficiencies, streamline payments, improve working capital, and mitigate financial risk. GTB is a fast-growing team with a focus on the Americas, particularly Canada, the U.S., and Mexico, and is seeking top talent. This role contributes to the success of GTB Operations by supporting the planning, governance, and execution of migration initiatives across Canada, the U.S., regional, and global markets, ensuring alignment with business strategies, delivery objectives, governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Technology, Operations, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 8–10+ years of experience in program management, transformation, technology delivery, or migration initiatives.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale, complex, cross-functional programs across multiple teams or geographies.
  • Strong experience in program governance, milestone tracking, dependency management, risk/issue resolution, and executive reporting.
  • Experience working with Product, Technology, Operations, and Business teams to build and execute delivery plans.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and executive presentation skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant certifications such as PMP, Agile/Scrum, Lean Six Sigma, or Change Management are considered assets.
  • Prior experience with migration, platform transition, operational transformation, or technology modernization initiatives preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish skills considered an asset, given the role’s coordination with teams and stakeholders across Mexico, Colombia, and other global regions.

Responsibilities

  • Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • Provide centralized program management and governance support for the migration initiative.
  • Collaborate with Product and Technology teams to define detailed delivery plans, including timelines, critical milestones, training readiness, and execution dependencies.
  • Coordinate and manage interdependent workstreams, ensuring alignment across teams before and during migration execution.
  • Proactively identify risks and issues, driving resolution to maintain program momentum and delivery commitments.
  • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.
