About The Position

Alfasigma is seeking a Senior Manager, Financial Systems, Planning & Analysis, to join the USA Pharmaceuticals team. This role reports to the Senior Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A). The successful candidate will be hands-on, have several years of prior US pharmaceutical experience, and will play a critical role in the overall FP&A team at Alfasigma, ensuring financial systems and processes fully support accurate budgeting, timely submissions and effective reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field required
  • 5+ years of professional experience, preferably within the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry
  • Ability to work onsite in our USA headquarters office in Morristown, NJ, on a hybrid basis (2-3 days per week)
  • Prior experience with accounting and financial planning/budgeting systems; you must be comfortable working with Excel and significant amounts of data
  • As a team player who thrives in a matrixed fast-paced environment, you are well-organized yet agile and can easily adapt to changing priorities
  • Strong communication skills and can translate financial concepts for business partners who do not have a finance background

Responsibilities

  • Take primary responsibility for financial systems: drive efforts to expand current capabilities, streamline processes and automate reporting
  • Perform periodic financial systems data uploads and validation
  • Ensure adequate systems configuration in response to business needs
  • Understand corporate reporting requirements and lead preparation and consolidation of monthly/quarterly reporting materials in accordance with those requirements
  • Collaborate with other members of the Finance & Accounting organization to ensure alignment
  • Act as the process ambassador to support systems utilization during major forecasting cycles such as Budgets, Long-Range Plans and Latest Best Estimates
  • Support efforts to implement new systems if needed
  • Act as the primary business partner (BP) to the heads of the US General & Administrative (G&A) organization
  • Provide support for annual G&A expense budgeting, forecasting, resource allocation, monthly reporting and strategic ad-hoc decision support
  • Lead the G&A expenses monthly close: Work with business partners to prepare and record monthly expense accruals, analyze and explain variances between actual spending and plan or prior periods, maintain up-to-date tracking
