About The Position

ŌURA is seeking a Senior Manager, Finance Transformation to turn fragmented systems requests, close and control needs, and process-improvement work into a prioritized, governed roadmap. The role will build the operating cadence, prioritization framework, and governance that help Accounting make clear trade-offs and advance high-value work, with exposure to senior leadership. It connects Accounting, Business Systems/IT, and external partners in a fast-growing environment that calls for agility and a practical, disciplined approach. Reporting to the Finance Transformation Lead, the role partners closely with Accounting leadership and Business Systems, and works with external advisors supporting SOX readiness and close acceleration. It is a remote role based in the United States. Success in the first year includes creating a single prioritized portfolio grounded in a shared People-Process-Technology framework; establishing ownership, evidence expectations, and escalation paths for high-risk control remediation; and delivering measurable improvements in close execution, control quality, or cycle time.

Requirements

  • At least 9 years of progressive experience in finance transformation, accounting operations, internal audit, finance systems, or process improvement, including leading cross-functional projects.
  • Strong project or program management skills, including integrated planning, dependency management, risk and issue escalation, and executive reporting.
  • Solid accounting fluency in close, reconciliations, journal entries, and controls, with the ability to translate business needs into system and process requirements.
  • Experience partnering with IT or Business Systems on intake, incident triage, prioritization, and release management.
  • Experience with SOX, internal controls, or financial reporting risk remediation in a public-company or late-stage pre-IPO environment.
  • Ability to work practically and adapt quickly as priorities shift in a dynamic, hyper-growth environment.
  • Strong collaborative partnership, written and verbal communication, and meeting facilitation skills across finance, IT, and external stakeholders.
  • Hands-on NetSuite experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Information Systems.

Nice To Haves

  • PMP certification or equivalent.
  • Experience building or rebuilding a team or function.
  • Exposure to multi-entity and international operations, including intercompany, foreign exchange, and consolidation.
  • CPA.

Responsibilities

  • Partner across Accounting, Business Systems/IT, FP&A, and external advisors, adapting communication to technical operators and leadership audiences.
  • Facilitate cross-functional meetings, build alignment, keep discussions on track, and surface decisions when priorities conflict.
  • Serve as the primary Accounting partner for IT triage by translating incidents, enhancement requests, and defects into scoped tickets, severity assessments, and business impact statements.
  • Partner with Business Systems on requirements, prioritization, testing, and release readiness for NetSuite and connected finance tools such as Zip, FloQast, and Workiva.
  • Establish triage and escalation processes for urgent close, reporting, and control-impacting issues, and track them through resolution across Accounting and IT.
  • Coordinate external consultants and implementation partners toward sustainable, internally owned outcomes.
  • Manage the Finance Transformation portfolio's project discipline, including integrated plans, milestones, dependencies, RAID tracking, decision logs, and escalations.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and tracking tools that provide leaders and stakeholders with self-service status visibility.
  • Consolidate transformation, systems, and process-improvement work into a prioritized, tiered portfolio with clear owners and expected outcomes.
  • Prepare concise, decision-oriented leadership updates that surface trade-offs, blockers, and decisions needed.
  • Establish and track operating metrics, such as cycle times, remediation progress, and portfolio health, to show transformation impact.
  • Turn control gaps, substantive errors, and audit observations into prioritized remediation plans with owners, due dates, and evidence requirements; drive root-cause analysis and durable fixes.
  • Partner with control owners across close, reporting, and systems to sequence remediation based on risk and support SOX Year 1 readiness and public-company reporting requirements.
  • Drive cross-functional initiatives to improve close cadence, reconciliation quality, and visibility into period-end risk across multiple entities.
  • Build repeatable mechanisms to track close blockers, root causes, and remediation progress.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary and equity packages.
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance, plus mental health resources.
  • An Ōura Ring and employee discounts for friends and family.
  • 20 days of paid time off, 13 paid holidays, and 8 days of flexible wellness time off.
