Senior Manager, Enterprise Developer Advocacy

Temporal Technologies
$240,000 - $295,000

About The Position

We are seeking a Manager of Enterprise Developer Advocacy to lead our NAMER team of Enterprise Developer Advocates. This role is responsible for executing enterprise- and customer-focused advocacy programs across the region. It's a player-coach position where you will manage and develop a team of senior advocates while also contributing directly to program design, curriculum development, and customer engagements. The goal is to translate the global strategy into tangible results in NAMER, including high-quality DevDays, Enterprise Office Hours, and account engagements that foster adoption and turn engineers into champions. You will act as a liaison between advocates and the field, collaborating with Sales, Solutions Architects, and Developer Success to ensure technical engagements align with business opportunities, while maintaining an authentic, non-salesy approach.

Requirements

  • Experience in developer advocacy, solutions engineering, developer education, or technical community work, preferably in enterprise SaaS or a developer-first company.
  • People-leadership experience or a clear readiness to step into it; ability to coach senior individual contributors while remaining hands-on.
  • Strong hands-on technical credibility: ability to build, demo, and teach, and earn the respect of senior enterprise engineers.
  • An operational, execution-first mindset: ability to run a repeatable program, manage intake and prioritization, and meet SLAs.
  • Comfort working cross-functionally with Sales, SAs, Dev Success, Product, and Marketing, and translating technical engagement into commercial impact.
  • Genuine passion for empowering developers and creating authentic, high-trust community experiences.
  • Familiarity with durable execution, workflow orchestration, or distributed systems (e.g., Temporal) is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, coach, and develop a team of Senior and Staff Developer Advocates across NAMER.
  • Set clear expectations and priorities while allowing advocates autonomy to adapt to their accounts and developer audiences.
  • Balance team workload against incoming demand and manage prioritization.
  • Oversee the end-to-end account engagement process for DevDays in NAMER.
  • Collaborate with the Global DevDays Team Lead to tailor DevDays to customer-specific domains and use cases, covering standard, advanced, and engineering-leadership tracks.
  • Drive champion identification and structured follow-up to ensure engagements lead to durable adoption.
  • Own NAMER's contribution to recurring programs like Enterprise Office Hours, coordinating with Developer Education, Marketing, and the webinar team.
  • Build and maintain a reusable library of modules, labs, and decks for the team.
  • Partner closely with AEs, SAs, and Developer Success to align advocacy work with pipeline, expansion, and adoption goals.
  • Qualify and prioritize requests based on ARR influence, opportunity stage, strategic logo value, and bandwidth.
  • Facilitate a feedback loop from the field to Docs, Education, and Product to address enterprise developer needs.
  • Contribute technically by designing and delivering sessions, building sample apps, and creating enterprise-friendly content.
  • Establish the team as trusted technical voices within enterprise accounts.

Benefits

  • Eligible to participate in Temporal's equity plan.
