About The Position

This hybrid role leads a team of associates responsible for technical innovation and continuous improvement through enterprise data management. The Senior Manager directs initiatives to improve enterprise data quality, governance, reporting, and analytics, and provides expert guidance to the team, management, and lines of business. The role oversees Enterprise Data Warehouse activities, including creating and maintaining related documentation, and implements strategies and process improvements aligned with organizational objectives.

The position also develops data policies and procedures, oversees data validation and reporting, manages staff performance and development, and supports business strategies that strengthen the Bank’s data management capabilities. It requires maintaining knowledge of current and emerging technologies and trends affecting financial services.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of experience in Risk Management, including Enterprise Data Warehouse; alternatively, a high school diploma or GED and 12 years of experience in Risk Management, including Enterprise Data Warehouse.
• Understanding of data warehousing, data transformation, and extract, transform, and load (ETL) processes.
• Knowledge of technologies and trends affecting the financial services and insurance industries.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in banking, regulatory work, data warehouses or data lakes, AWS, or Snowflake.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects and process improvements that enhance enterprise data quality, management, and storage.
• Manage associates who facilitate data management initiatives.
• Direct data profiling, exception reporting, analysis, issue resolution, and general fixes for the Enterprise Data Warehouse.
• Delegate tasks and adjust work to support appropriate data governance.
• Create data policies and procedures for department and enterprise-wide use.
• Review associate feedback to identify improvements in data management capabilities.
• Oversee data validation and reporting to ensure data quality and completeness before business use.
• Direct the creation and maintenance of Enterprise Data Warehouse technical documentation.
• Modify Enterprise Data Warehouse processes to improve efficiency.
• Establish and monitor expectations to achieve company and department goals.
• Adjust team policies, procedures, and efficiencies to meet objectives.
• Manage assigned staff performance, training, and evaluation.
• Support department achievements by providing professional development.
• Facilitate process improvements and strategies that develop the Bank’s data management capabilities.
• Serve as an expert data resource to management, associates, and project teams.
• Maintain knowledge of current and emerging technologies and trends affecting the financial services industry.
