About The Position

This role follows a hybrid work schedule, with 2 days per week in the office (RTP) and 3 days per week working remotely. The Senior Manager of Digital Marketing Platforms leads the strategy, architecture, and execution of the organization’s marketing technology ecosystem, with primary ownership of Salesforce, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and their integration with the Data Lake and CDP. This role partners closely with IT to deliver strategic marketing initiatives that align to business objectives and drive measurable impact. The Manager ensures data accuracy, system integrity, and scalable platforms across all channels supporting donor retention, lifecycle planning, and digital engagement. They manage the scope, requirements, and implementation of new marketing technology solutions while maintaining and evolving the existing MarTech stack. As a hybrid leader, the Manager oversees a small technical team, owns the CDP and marketing automation roadmap, and serves as a strategic technical liaison across Marketing, IT, Analytics, and Growth. The role drives data informed decision-making, enables advanced segmentation, and builds operational maturity that contributes to increased Donor Lifetime Value.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Marketing Cloud Email Specialist or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in CRM-related roles.
  • 2-3 years of experience in Management
  • Experience overseeing Martech Technology Platforms, Salesforce, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Consumer Data Management Platform and other integrated systems is essential (working with third-party solutions and across digital channels)
  • Key Systems: Salesforce, Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC), Data Lake integration, CDP, DAM, CRM Integrations, and other Marketing Automation systems

Responsibilities

  • Lead the evolution and optimization of the donor lifecycle strategy using insights from Salesforce, SFMC, CDP and Data Lake integration.
  • Assist in next-generation architecture development for CRM, CDP, and automation systems with an emphasis on Salesforce ecosystem advancement.
  • Identify emerging MarTech and Salesforce capabilities that improve engagement, personalization, and automation scalability.
  • Architect a robust, future-proof marketing automation framework integrated tightly with Salesforce and Fabric data assets.
  • Manage and mentor Marketing Automation Specialists who work hands-on within Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Encourage technical mastery in SFMC, and data management best practices.
  • Conduct capacity planning to balance workload, timelines, and operational needs.
  • Provide feedback and coaching that strengthens accountability, autonomy, and execution quality.
  • Serve as the senior technical authority for Salesforce, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, CDP, and related MarTech platforms.
  • Oversee data governance, ingestion, normalization, and segmentation workflows across SFMC, CDP, DAM, Salesforce CRM, and the Data Lake.
  • Partner with IT and data teams to optimize data pipelines, improve data integrity, and ensure clean, actionable datasets for lifecycle marketing.
  • Build and enhance automations, journeys, and system integrations leveraging SFMC and CDP data structures.
  • Lead QA processes, documentation, testing, and compliance for related marketing technology operations.
  • Develop reporting frameworks using Salesforce, CDP, Data Lake integration, and marketing automation performance data.
  • Produce insights that optimize segmentation, journey design, audience strategy, and lifecycle performance.
  • Works with IT and I&A to validate data accuracy across Salesforce, SFMC, DAM, Data Lake, and the CDP, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  • Identify trends that drive improved automation efficiency, data enrichment, and donor retention strategies.
  • Act as the primary connector between Marketing, IT, Analytics, and Growth regarding Salesforce, SFMC, and CDP data capabilities.
  • Translate technical constraints into clear business implications without slowing momentum.
