Senior Manager, Competitive Intelligence
About The Position
GEICO is seeking a highly motivated and analytical associate to join the Competitive Intelligence team. As a Sr. Manager, Competitive Intelligence, you will lead efforts to monitor, analyze, and provide recommendations based on top competitor strategies and qualitative research. This role involves building an understanding of key competitor success metrics, benchmarking the competition and industry against GEICO, and gaining a strong understanding of the P&C insurance industry. The ideal candidate must display analytical skills, have a proven track record of successfully driving results and projects, strong organization and time-management skills, present strategic solutions to the leadership team, and demonstrate an ability to make change happen.
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Bachelors degree required
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Ability to think strategically and tactically
- Insurance industry knowledge and experience required
- Proficiency in CI tools and software
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute competitive intelligence strategy aligned with business objectives
- Identify and prioritize key competitors, market trends and emerging threads
- Foster cross-functional collaboration with business units, marketing and product development
- Conduct market research and analysis to inform business decisions
- Monitor competitor activity, product offerings, and pricing strategies
- Analyze industry trends, regulatory changes and market shifts
- Develop and maintain comprehensive competitor profiles
- Assess competitor strengths, weaknesses and market positioning
- Identify gaps and opportunities for competitive advantage
- Provide actionable insights to inform product development, pricing and marketing strategies
- Develop and maintain competitive landscape reports and dashboards
- Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders
