About The Position

The Senior Manager, Competitive Intelligence (CI) will be the point of contact and support all aspects of a comprehensive CI program based on an internal consultative engagement with ~3-4 primary stakeholders to strategically support BMS’ multiple myeloma (MM) portfolio, with a focus on GPRC5D and BCMA x GPRC5D CAR T. Delivers timely, relevant and strategic insights through effective communication of intelligence, manages external CI vendors/partners, and leverages relevant internal tools and platforms (including AI). This position will report to the Vice President, Competitive Intelligence and Strategic Foresight and works closely with the therapeutic CI lead for Cell Therapy who will provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and guidance.

Requirements

  • BA/BS required, MBA/PharmD/PhD degree preferred
  • A minimum of 3 years of competitive intelligence (primary and secondary research) or relevant experience is required
  • Experience designing and facilitating competitive simulation workshops
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly and independently build proficiency in new categories or therapeutic areas
  • Solid business understanding of pharmaceutical drug development and commercialization pathways
  • Ability to think strategically, synthesize and analyze across data sources and develop actionable recommendations that support decision-making with strong, detail-oriented oral/written communication skills
  • Demonstrated initiative, intellectual curiosity, creativity, strategic thinking, and ability to work effectively in complex, rapidly changing environments
  • Proven ability to lead projects while effectively managing time and resources
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with diverse teams across organizational lines and structures, to collaborate, manage expectations, and build consensus with colleagues in various geographies, roles, and hierarchical levels
  • Experience successfully supporting business decision making in a complex and highly dynamic corporate environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in hematology/cell therapy is preferred, particularly in multiple myeloma
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical related CI data sources is desirable (e.g., Evaluate Pharma, GlobalData, Citeline, PubMed, SEC filings, clinical trial registries)
  • Proficiency in data visualization, strategic storytelling, and AI-enabled tools is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assesses the competitive environment and emerging scientific data to inform R&D, clinical, regulatory, access and commercial strategies for BMS hematology/cell therapy assets.
  • Conducts analyses and research based on Key Intelligence Topics/Questions while adhering to consistent and established standards; synthesize and distill insights to provide actionable recommendations to key stakeholders across functions and levels within the organization.
  • Implements all elements of internal CI model based on consultative engagement with key stakeholders: managing external CI vendors/partners, internal intelligence networks, and leveraging relevant internal IT tools and platforms.
  • Executes all projects within budget assigned, in a timely fashion, making tradeoffs as necessary.
  • Ensures appropriate dissemination of, and access to, competitive intelligence so it may be fully leveraged to answer strategic questions.
  • Demonstrates, and holds others accountable to, high standards of business integrity.
  • Responds to ad hoc key business questions with expert analysis and timely delivery.
