About The Position

The Wella Company is seeking a Senior Manager, Commercial Excellence to partner directly with the Global Head of eCommerce. This role is crucial for ensuring the successful delivery of strategies, long-range plans, and annual operating budgets across key accounts and markets. The position will govern strategy implementation, revenue realization, and market engagement to identify and address risks, weaknesses, and opportunities. Additionally, the role involves building and deploying global frameworks and mandates, such as Joint Business Plans (JBPs), to establish consistent operating standards. The Senior Manager will also synthesize performance intelligence from various regions, channels, and accounts into a consolidated view for senior leadership. This role requires a rigorous operator adept at auditing account plans, developing frameworks, and translating complex data into actionable insights for executive decision-making.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in eCommerce, commercial strategy, sales operations, revenue operations, or a comparable governance/commercial-excellence function.
  • Demonstrated ability to hold an organization accountable to a plan without direct ownership; strong influence without authority.
  • Proven track record of building commercial frameworks, JBPs, playbooks, or global standards and driving adoption across markets.
  • Exceptional analytical and synthesis skills; ability to move from raw multi-market data to a clear executive point of view.
  • Excellent communication and executive presence; comfortable engaging senior and C-level stakeholders.
  • Experience operating across multiple global markets; comfort with the complexity of a matrixed, multi-region organization.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Global Head of eCommerce to govern the delivery of the eCommerce strategy, long-range plan (LRP), and annual operating plan (AOP) across top accounts and priority markets.
  • Establish and manage the governance cadence, business reviews, plan-vs-actual tracking, and gap-to-target reviews to ensure accountability of markets and accounts to committed numbers.
  • Identify areas at the market and account level where strategy execution, revenue delivery, or investment is off-pace, and drive corrective actions with relevant market and channel leaders.
  • Champion commercial excellence standards across markets, working to close the gap between best-in-class and lagging regions.
  • Build, standardize, and deploy commercial frameworks, including the global JBP framework and standards, for markets and accounts to operate against.
  • Define and roll out global mandates and playbooks, ensuring consistent adoption across regions and clear accountability for compliance.
  • Continuously refine frameworks based on market learnings to keep global standards practical and current.
  • Synthesize performance data, market intelligence, and account insights from across regions and channels into a single, coherent view for the Global Head of eCommerce.
  • Translate complex, multi-market performance into clear, decision-ready narratives and materials for senior leadership and executive forums.
  • Prepare the Global Head of eCommerce for key leadership moments, business reviews, budget conversations, and strategic decisions by providing necessary analysis and framing.
  • Act as a connective point across markets, channels, and functions, ensuring timely and appropriate information flow to the right people.
