About The Position

The Senior Manager of Business Performance Insights will join Expedia Group’s Expedia & Portfolio team and generate business performance insights for Expedia Lodging, described as the largest and fastest-growing business in the Expedia portfolio. The role partners closely with Finance, Analytics, Marketing, Product & Tech, and Supply teams to develop insights that help Expedia and Portfolio brands compete in the marketplace. The position owns analysis of key site metrics across business dimensions, sets and regularly reforecasts annual performance targets with Finance and business leads, and monitors performance against those targets. It also identifies underlying performance drivers and opportunities to optimize spend allocation, communicates insights to audiences at varying levels of detail, and builds trusted relationships with internal stakeholders.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
At least 6 years of experience in business management, ecommerce, analytics, or financial planning within the travel and/or technology industry.
Understanding of financial metrics, forecasting, and budgeting.
Very strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to generate key business insights and actions.
Ability to influence and collaborate with people at various organizational levels.

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree.
Strong experience in SQL and Tableau/Python.

Responsibilities

Own analysis of key site metrics, including traffic, conversion, GBV, cancellations, take rate, and GP, across Brand, Geo, Experience or platform, Channel, and Line of Business dimensions.
Set annual performance targets linked to strategic initiatives and regularly reforecast targets in partnership with Finance and business leads.
Monitor and drive performance toward targets, including optimizing spend allocation and identifying short- and long-term underlying performance drivers.
Prepare and deliver communications through different channels, tailoring detail for varied audiences, including director-level and above.
Establish trusted working relationships with internal stakeholders, such as Finance, Marketing, and Analytics, and serve as a trusted advisor.
