About The Position

The Business Excellence, Asset Management Lead & Content Librarian is responsible for driving operational excellence across third-party vendor engagements while leading the enterprise management, governance, and lifecycle of marketing, scientific, and medical content assets. This role ensures that vendors deliver contracted outcomes, costs are controlled and optimized, and content assets are compliant, reusable, and accessible through best-in-class DAM and content management practices. The position partners closely with Marketing, Medical, Legal, Compliance, IT, Finance, and Procurement to ensure strong governance, regulatory adherence, and execution quality.

Requirements

8–12+ years of experience in Marketing Operations, Business Excellence, Asset Management, Vendor Management, Content Operations, or related roles
Proven experience in digital asset management (DAM), content lifecycle management, and taxonomy/metadata development, preferably within pharmaceuticals or other highly regulated industries
Strong expertise in: Digital Asset Management platforms (e.g., Veeva, AEM, or similar enterprise DAM solutions)
Strong expertise in: MLR processes and regulatory compliance environments
Strong expertise in: Content governance, version control, and usage rights management
Demonstrated experience in: Vendor management and post award operational governance
Demonstrated experience in: Driving cost optimization and measurable savings related to external spend
Demonstrated experience in: Designing scalable workflows, standards, and governance models
Ability to operate as a subject matter expert and strategic partner across Marketing, Medical, Legal, Compliance, IT, Finance, and Procurement
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills

Responsibilities

Provide operational oversight of vendor engagements post contract execution
Review and govern SOWs to ensure alignment with MSAs, approved rate structures, and business objectives
Monitor vendor performance against KPIs/SLAs and manage issue escalation and remediation
Validate deliverables prior to invoice approval in partnership with Finance
Track and report vendor related cost savings, spend efficiency, and optimization outcomes
Ensure proper engagement documentation, governance, and closeout
Define and lead enterprise strategy for DAM, content libraries, claims automation, and modular content reuse
Establish and maintain metadata standards, taxonomies, naming conventions, and governance models
Ensure brand consistency and regulatory compliance across all managed assets
Serve as Subject Matter Expert for DAM platforms (e.g., Veeva, AEM)
Manage system configuration, folder structures, ingestion, versioning, and archiving
Partner with IT and vendors to support enhancements, integrations, and ongoing system performance
Oversee asset lifecycle from creation through retirement
Ensure MLR compliance, usage rights management, and accurate version control
Maintain audit ready documentation for regulatory and internal reviews
Build and maintain curated libraries of scientific literature, disease area resources, claims, and marketing materials
Ensure content accuracy, traceability, and accessibility for marketing, medical, and research teams
Partner cross functionally to streamline workflows and improve adoption
Develop training materials, SOPs, and best practices for DAM and content lifecycle management
Support global and local teams in consistent system usage
Track DAM performance, content reuse, workflow efficiency, and vendor performance metrics
Identify process gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across Marketing Operations
