About The Position

Crusoe is seeking a visionary and hands-on Senior Manager of Accounts Payable to join our dynamic finance team. In this critical leadership role, you will be the strategic architect responsible for building and scaling our entire procure-to-pay process for the future. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in accounts payable, with at least 4 years in a leadership role managing a team.
  • Demonstrated success in a fast-paced, high-volume tech, SaaS, or startup environment is essential.
  • Proven ability to build processes from the ground up.
  • Deep, hands-on experience with ERP systems and AP platforms.
  • A proven ability to lead, mentor, and effectively scale a team.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Data-driven and can translate insights into actionable process improvements.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders at all levels.

Nice To Haves

  • Direct experience with Sage Intacct and Coupa ERP and AP platforms.
  • Experience scaling the AP function for SOX compliance or IPO readiness.
  • Professional certifications such as CPA or CTP.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the long-term vision for the Accounts Payable function, focusing on scalability, efficiency, and accuracy to support rapid growth.
  • Oversee the entire, full-cycle accounts payable process, including vendor onboarding, invoice processing, payment runs (ACH, wire, virtual card), and employee expense reporting (T&E). Ensure the accurate and timely processing of all invoices and payments.
  • Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing AP team. Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous professional development.
  • Drive continuous improvement by proactively identifying and eliminating manual processes, integrating modern financial technology for peak efficiency.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships with Procurement, Engineering, and other departments to ensure a seamless and efficient procure-to-pay experience across the entire organization.
  • Design, implement, and maintain robust internal controls to ensure strict compliance with GAAP, SOX, and company policies. Serve as the primary contact for AP-related audits.
  • Partner with the Treasury and FP&A teams on critical cash flow forecasting. Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track departmental performance, such as Days Payable Outstanding (DPO) and on-time payment metrics.
