About The Position

Entegris is seeking a Senior Maintenance Supervisor / Planner for its Aurora, Illinois facility. This role combines direct supervision of maintenance technicians and electricians across all shifts with the planning and scheduling of all maintenance activities within the 845 Slurry production area. The goal is to ensure efficient maintenance operations by having the right people, parts, and plans in place, thereby minimizing downtime and maximizing wrench time. The position reports to the Sr. Maintenance Manager and operates within a facility running three shifts, five days a week. The Senior Supervisor / Planner will also act as backup to the Sr. Maintenance Manager during their time off.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the chemical or specialty materials industry.
  • Strong proficiency in maintenance management systems, specifically SAP-PM and Ariba.
  • Demonstrated experience in maintenance planning and scheduling, including work order management, job plan development, and backlog management.
  • Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Familiarity with maintenance KPI reporting and data-driven decision-making.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make timely, data-driven decisions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Flexible and adaptable to variable schedule changes.
  • Ability to respond to off-shift operational needs as required.
  • Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations in a manufacturing context.

Responsibilities

  • Directly supervise maintenance technicians and electricians across all shifts, ensuring adequate staffing.
  • Hire, onboard, and train new maintenance technicians; manage payroll, punch times, and time-off requests.
  • Provide technical guidance and coaching to the maintenance team, including goal setting, performance feedback, and development planning.
  • Serve as backup to the Maintenance Manager during PTO.
  • Develop and publish a rolling weekly and monthly maintenance schedule for preventive maintenance (PM), corrective work orders, and project activities.
  • Manage the work order backlog, including review, prioritization, assignment, monitoring, and escalation of overdue items.
  • Coordinate parts kitting and pre-staging to ensure all necessary materials, tools, and documentation are ready for scheduled maintenance.
  • Coordinate required downtime windows with production, operations, and quality teams.
  • Utilize SAP-PM, Parsable, and Reliance ETQ to create, modify, implement, and oversee PM programs for production equipment.
  • Own maintenance performance results measured by KPIs such as PM completion rate, OEE, spare parts inventory, and budget.
  • Use Ariba to purchase parts and services, and manage external contractor relationships.
  • Drive continuous improvement projects in maintenance related to safety, 5S, ergonomics, sustainability, and process efficiency.
  • Adhere to and enforce all Entegris and site EH&S guidelines, policies, procedures, and permitting requirements.
  • Champion the safety culture within the maintenance team.
  • Maintain strong housekeeping standards and a safe work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO and quality standards.
  • Support or lead EHS teams and safety improvement initiatives.
