About The Position

Delta Solutions & Strategies is actively seeking a full time Senior Maintenance Specialist at Shaw Air Force Base, SC. This role involves assisting and advising with Numbered Air Force (NAF) processes and procedures related to the assessment, certification, readiness, and sustainment of various aircraft platforms and their associated munitions and support equipment. The specialist will coordinate with various Air Force commands to resolve readiness issues, advise on operational planning, and provide expertise on aircraft maintenance systems. Responsibilities include participating in planning teams, preparing high-level briefings, identifying operational requirements, reviewing reports, and developing solutions for maintenance and logistics challenges. The role also requires creating and updating training curriculum and performing independent systems evaluations to identify areas for improvement and standardization.

Requirements

  • 1 year of end-user experience in Air Force readiness reporting platforms (DRRS, DCAPES).
  • 4 years of advanced fighter aircraft maintenance knowledge and experience (Production Super, QA, Maintenance Officer, Fighter Generation Squadron Senior Enlisted Leader relating to sortie generation, sortie support function and aircraft employment and sustainment).
  • Top Secret Clearance required

Responsibilities

  • Assist and advise with Numbered Air Force (NAF) processes and procedures as they relate to the assessment and certification, readiness, and fleet-wide sustainment of Fighter, C2ISR, Rescue, UAV and Special Mission Platforms and their associated munitions and support equipment.
  • Coordinate with MAJCOM, Air National Guard Bureau (ANGB) Air Force Reserve Command (AFRC) and depot centers to assess and resolve readiness issues involving aircraft, support equipment, depot support, technical orders, operating instruction changes, and time compliance technical orders affecting combat capabilities.
  • Advise and assist staff with the planning and assessment of FE certifying events/exercises.
  • Assist and advise on operational and exercise planning for maintenance and logistics support capabilities/functions.
  • Assist and advise assigned Division Chief, and staff agencies on aircraft maintenance systems war fighting capabilities and limitations.
  • Assist with Readiness Assistance Visits (RAV) and Staff Assistance Visits (SAV) when directed.
  • Participate as a member Operational Planning Teams and Working Groups.
  • Assist in the preparation of briefings and presentations at the General Officer (GO) level as required.
  • Capture, identify, and disseminate CAFFORGEN manning, training, and operational requirements necessary to ensure seamless transition at the tactical level, particularly emerging Mission Ready Airmen (MRA) initiatives.
  • Review reports, perform appropriate research, and prepare detailed responses to maintenance, munitions, logistics related issues.
  • Determine appropriate recommendations for unresolved or questionable maintenance and munitions issues and performs follow-up.
  • Create, and update as required, training curriculum and provide instruction on maintenance functions.
  • Provide functional expertise in NAF and/or Command and Control operations to include maintenance management of aircraft, munitions, and equipment.
  • Perform action officer duties by providing staff work on current/future issues involving logistics, maintenance, and munition support.
  • Determine solutions for enterprise-wide level supply shortfalls.
  • Perform periodic independent systems evaluations on and develop improvements for system limitations based on a thorough and comprehensive study and analysis.
  • Identify areas for maintenance standardization across units.
