About The Position

We’re seeking a proactive Senior Maintenance Mechanic who embraces Lean Manufacturing principles, continuous improvement, and operational excellence. The successful candidate will play a critical role in reducing waste, improving equipment reliability, maximizing uptime, and supporting a culture of safety and efficiency throughout the organization. This position is based on-site at our Manufacturing and Warehouse Facility in Burlington, New Jersey. The schedule for this role is Monday–Thursday, working 10‑hour shifts, with potential overtime on Fridays.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance with demonstrated expertise in electronic processing equipment, motors, drives, and pumps.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office and other computer systems.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions, use logical reasoning, and seek clarification as needed.
  • Proficient with hand and power tools.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of application and not require sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance, electrical technology, or a related field strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge/familiarity with measurement instrumentation desirable, but not necessary.
  • Understanding of Lean principles and waste elimination methodologies.
  • Experience participating in Kaizen events and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Perform predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance on facility and production equipment in accordance with GMPs.
  • Lead and execute advanced repairs and troubleshooting on electronic processing equipment, motors, drives, pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, seals, grinder blades, and lighting fixtures.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical issues independently, providing technical guidance to other mechanics as needed.
  • Complete basic electrical work such as troubleshooting systems and replacing blown fuses.
  • Assemble new equipment and perform minor system troubleshooting.
  • Perform advanced installations, upgrades, and calibrations of electronic processing equipment and related machinery.
  • Develop, implement, and refine a facility‑wide preventive maintenance (PM) system for each machine using an online system or proven recordkeeping method.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of maintenance activities, inspections, and compliance checks.
  • Support Lean Manufacturing initiatives including 5S, Kaizen, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), SMED, and waste reduction programs.
  • Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and increase production efficiency.
  • Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action processes for recurring equipment issues.
  • Promote proactive maintenance strategies to improve OEE and reduce unplanned stoppages.
  • Other duties as assigned.
