Requirements

  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of five years experience in plant maintenance strongly preferred
  • Technical training in the maintenance field.
  • Experience with Maintenance management systems like SAP
  • Knowledge and experience in Microsoft software is appreciated.
  • Demonstrated general knowledge of electricity, HVAC systems, and welding.
  • Knowledgeable in the procedures and safety measures in areas of specialty.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on all chemical plant and facilities equipment to include pumps, agitators, boilers, associated piping, etc.
  • As applicable, overhauling, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing chemical plant equipment, which includes but is not limited to turbines, fans, blowers, pumps, gearboxes, and conveyors
  • Serves as the operator of the site utilities – in particular the site boiler, chiller, Compressed Air, Wastewater system, etc.
  • Reads and interprets equipment manuals, procedures and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Ability to test and chemically treat the water side of boilers and cooling towers.
  • Knowledge of fire suppression equipment and perform Preventive maintenance on fire suppression equipment.
  • Participates in and may be responsible (as assigned) for the creation of procedures as it applies to the repair and maintenance of Mechanical and Process equipment, especially as it applies to Autonomous maintenance.
  • Provides input to engineering and project teams as a part of capital projects and improvements as it applies to the future ownership and maintenance requirements.
  • Performs other duties as required.
  • Depending on assigned tasks, training and specific expertise this may include; HVAC Equipment Maintenance, Vibration analysis, etc.
  • Within capabilities, bolting, clamping, and welding together metal components of products such as piping systems, plate, pipe and tube or structural shapes, using arc and arc gas welding equipment
  • Interpreting technical drawings and recreating piping details in the shop and field
