About The Position

The Senior Maintenance Mechanic supports operation, inspection, and maintenance processes to mechanical, electrical and plumbing equipment and systems in assigned facilities. Assists Central Teams in maintenance and repair efforts, as well as independently performing defined tasks. Performs inspections and repairs to assigned property interior and exterior areas, including walls and flooring, installed fixtures, roofing systems, lighting, etc. A hospitality mindset is fundamental to delivering exceptional workplace experiences for our client. Requirements

  • 5 to 7 years of applicable experience working as a senior mechanic or maintenance mechanic lead in commercial or industrial. buildings/settings.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid California Driver's License.
  • Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs and climb up to 30 ft ladders.
  • Position requires frequent climbing, bending, kneeling, lifting, and driving.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and adjust building automation systems (BAS) to optimize energy consumption, temperature control, and air quality while maintaining tenant comfort standards.
  • Respond promptly to emergency service calls and equipment failures, performing troubleshooting and repairs to restore system functionality with minimal disruption.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, service reports, and equipment documentation using CMMS platforms, tracking repair histories and compliance with maintenance schedules.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and controls issues in HVAC equipment and critical building systems including plumbing and building automation controls, minimizing system downtime and maintaining optimal building comfort and operational conditions.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain Variable Air Volume (VAV) systems and Variable Air Terminals (VAT), including damper actuators and sensors, ensuring proper zone temperature control and airflow balance throughout the facility.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment, ensuring reliable operation and compliance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
