About The Position

This engineer will respond to code and analyze new requirements, debug production issues and incidents, ensure timely remediation, and take steps to prevent recurrence. The role works closely with business partners to answer application-specific questions and with product teams to promote availability, resilience, and stability. The person hired will need to quickly learn the TOA system and contribute constructively to ongoing projects.

The position is within the Transfer of Assets (TOA) team, supporting the mainframe code base for TOA products in the Brokerage Recordkeeping Technology organization. It combines mainframe development and application support.

Requirements

• Experience as a mainframe developer and support person.
• Strong knowledge of CICS, COBOL, DB2, VSAM, and JCL.
• Good understanding of the CICS Dynamic Transaction Routing process.
• Familiarity with mainframe and DB2 tools, File-Aid, scheduler tools, and debugger tools.
• Good understanding of distributed applications and systems.
• Prior experience working in highly transactional, fault-tolerant, data-driven systems.
• Ability to identify and mitigate risks or potential problems.
• Ability to diagnose problems and generate effective solutions.
• Ability to work with teams across different geographical locations.
• Good understanding of Agile methodologies and tools.

Nice To Haves

• Exposure to the brokerage or finance domain.
• Knowledge of asset movement products.
