About The Position

The Senior Logistics Specialist is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations while ensuring accurate and timely domestic and international shipments. This role combines traditional warehouse duties, including pulling work orders, inventory movement, receiving, and material handling, with shipping and export responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in shipping and receiving, warehouse operations, and coordinating shipments with carriers and customers.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred.
Previous warehouse experience, including material handling and inventory management.
Shipping and receiving experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
Forklift certification or ability to become certified.
Experience preparing domestic and international shipping documentation.
Experience using ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook and Excel.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

Experience filing export documentation through ACE.
Knowledge of international shipping and customs requirements.
Oracle ERP experience.
Experience working with freight carriers and coordinating international shipments.

Responsibilities

Pull, stage, and verify materials for production work orders.
Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials and products.
Maintain accurate inventory transactions within the ERP system.
Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory accuracy initiatives.
Load and unload trucks and semi-trailers using forklifts and other material handling equipment.
Organize and maintain warehouse storage locations to ensure efficiency and safety.
Support production and operations teams by delivering materials as required.
Follow all company safety policies and warehouse procedures.
Prepare shipping documentation including Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Shipper's Letters of Instruction(SLI), Bills of Lading, and other required shipping paperwork.
File international export information through ACE and ensure compliance with export regulations.
Crate, package, and prepare sensitive and high-value materials for domestic and international shipment.
Coordinate domestic and international shipments with customers, freight carriers, and logistics providers.
Maintain shipment tracking logs and provide shipment status updates as needed.
Investigate shipping discrepancies and resolve transportation issues.
Identify and implement process improvements to increase shipping and warehouse efficiencies.
