About The Position

The J4 Logistics Planner Analyst supports SOCCENT logistics, maintenance, supply, and readiness planning across the CENTCOM AOR. The role advises leadership on equipment readiness, SO-p and service-common assets, funding, reporting, and life cycle replacement, using systems such as GCSS-A and DRRS-S. Active TS/SCI clearance and potential CONUS/OCONUS travel are required.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • Knowledge and understanding of maintenance concepts and organizations from functional/multi-functional and tactical to strategic level.
  • Direct experience and knowledge of assets within the AOR, including service common equipment such as HMMWV, HEMTT, Material Handling Equipment, ground equipment, and tactical wheeled vehicles.
  • Direct knowledge and familiarity with Special Operations-peculiar (SO-p) portfolios supported by USSOCOM.
  • Familiarity with maintenance involving weapon systems, allied trades, and construction equipment.
  • Knowledge of funding sources including MFP-2 and MFP-11.
  • Familiarity with logistics automation systems including GCSS-A, SSAVIE, Palantir Smart System, Power BI, STORES, Equipment Common Operating Picture 2.0, DRRS-S, Vantage Army, and Joint Container Management System.
  • Understanding of countries, locations, commands, and command relationships in the CENTCOM AOR, including 1st TSC, USARCENT, and 401st AFSB.
  • Knowledge of property accountability and material management for USSOCOM special programs.
  • Understanding of unit readiness, equipment readiness, general maintenance capability, and DRRS-S readiness data.
  • Knowledge of Life Cycle Replacement (LCR) process within the CENTCOM AOR, including DCR, BOIP, unit equipment authorizations, and associated processes.
  • Ability to use advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat Professional, Microsoft SharePoint, and Microsoft Office products.

  • Advises leadership on logistics readiness, manages maintenance and supply programs, tracks equipment readiness, coordinates funding, prepares briefs, and develops support concepts.
  • Advises leadership on equipment readiness, maintenance issues, and support decisions.
  • Executes theater supply, maintenance, distribution, and logistics management programs.
  • Coordinates funding requirements with resource management personnel.
  • Tracks equipment, supplies, parts, and readiness data using logistics systems.
  • Analyzes maintenance issues to identify trends, risks, and operational effectiveness.
  • Manages life cycle replacement and field maintenance support concepts.
  • Prepares readiness briefs, logistics analyses, presentations, and continuity resources.
