About The Position

Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Logistics Manager supporting the Aerial Networks Division (AFLCMC/HNA), which is located at the Hanscom AFB, MA. The Senior Logistics Manager will advise, perform, and/or lead logistics management operations that involve planning, coordinating, evaluating, and executing the logistical actions required to support a specified mission, weapons system, or other designated program. This role requires a trusted logistics advisor who can craft and deliver expert ILS solutions supporting advanced systems for the warfighter, influencing sustainment decisions and system suitability. The individual will design operational excellence by diving deep into technical analysis and operational scenarios, ensuring systems achieve required suitability for real-world performance. They will lead and coordinate all logistics functions, from maintenance strategy and training programs to procurement, supply chain visibility, packaging, handling, and OCONUS transportation. Planning with precision involves coordinating mission-critical logistics operations, aligning funding, manpower, materiel, and facilities with program schedules. The role also requires delivering data-informed insights through regular analytical support on logistics metrics and applying DoD acquisition expertise. Driving sustainment readiness involves conducting LHAs, developing LCSPs, and contributing to technical requirements, provisioning, interface control, and system support documentation. The Senior Logistics Manager will represent logistics leadership at key technical events and collaborate across teams with government and contractor personnel. The role may require domestic and international travel.

Requirements

  • Must be a US citizen
  • Must hold an active Top-Secret Clearance
  • 12 years of directly relevant experience, 5 of which must be in the DoD
  • OR, Bachelors degree and 8 years of experience, 4 of which must be in the DoD.
  • Proficiency with IT infrastructure Logistics

  • Experience executing ILS support for DoD Acquisition programs.

Responsibilities

  • Advise, perform, and/or lead logistics management operations that involve planning, coordinating, evaluating, and executing the logistical actions required to support a specified mission, weapons system, or other designated program.
  • Craft and deliver expert ILS solutions supporting advanced systems for the warfighter, influencing sustainment decisions and system suitability.
  • Design operational excellence by diving deep into technical analysis and operational scenarios, ensuring systems achieve required suitability for real-world performance.
  • Lead and coordinate all logistics functions, including maintenance strategy, training programs, procurement, supply chain visibility, packaging, handling, and OCONUS transportation.
  • Coordinate mission-critical logistics operations, aligning funding, manpower, materiel, and facilities with program schedules.
  • Provide regular analytical support on logistics metrics such as supply levels, reliability, and maintainability, feeding them into major logistics reviews.
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of the DoD acquisition lifecycle and product support planning under the DoD 5000-series framework.
  • Conduct Logistics Health Assessments (LHAs), develop Life-Cycle Sustainment Plans (LCSPs), and contribute to technical requirements, provisioning, interface control, and system support documentation.
  • Represent logistics leadership at TIMs, design reviews, provisioning briefs, IPT discussions, working group meetings, and staff reviews.
  • Collaborate with government and contractor logistics personnel, integrators, and product support teams to provide expert input on maintenance strategies, modifications, and acquisition planning.
  • Travel domestically and internationally, supporting logistics efforts at CONUS and OCONUS locations as directed.
  • Review vendor technical/engineering documents.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
