About The Position

Thompson Gray is seeking a highly motivated Senior Logistics Analyst with readiness and fleet management experience to support our Army customer. This position leverages advanced data analytics to enhance operational readiness, optimize flying hour costs, and ultimately reduce the burden on our Soldiers. The analyst will conduct predictive and diagnostic analysis of fleet-wide data from various Army logistics and maintenance data systems to identify trends, forecast readiness challenges, and provide actionable recommendations for data-driven decision-making. By analyzing flying hour and sustainment data, this position develops strategies to reduce operational costs and decrease the maintenance burden on soldiers without compromising mission effectiveness. This role serves as a subject matter expert on fleet sustainment and life-cycle support, contributing to digital transformation and enterprise-wide solutions to ensure the long-term health and viability of the aviation fleet. The analyst supports key planning and synchronization meetings across the Army Aviation enterprise, providing critical analysis that informs strategic decisions and shapes the future of Army Aviation. This position requires the candidate to already possess a Secret Security Clearance (Active).

  • Project and Tasker Management: Proven ability to manage multiple, complex fleet management projects and materiel readiness accounts simultaneously, including the consolidation and reporting of inputs and taskers from multiple product offices and higher headquarters.
  • Strategic Analysis and Reporting: Skilled in conducting comprehensive analysis of logistics and readiness data to produce actionable, data-driven recommendations and prepare high-quality inputs, in both narrative and chart formats, for senior-level strategic meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Experience in planning, coordinating, communicating, and providing oversight of fleet management and readiness reporting.
  • Possess extensive knowledge of the planning and execution of fleet management and readiness reporting software.
  • Possess extensive knowledge of the Army's standard materiel fielding programs and logistics information systems.
  • Full understanding of Army materiel readiness processes as outlined in AR 700-138.
  • Experience managing and coordinating operational unit fleet management and readiness reporting for an Army Aviation aircraft fleet.
  • Prepares input for high-level meetings with customers, senior Army officers and civilians, corporate executives, government action officers, and other vendors. This input may be narrative or in chart format and should be of a quality that requires little to no rework by a senior analyst or Program Manager.
  • Manages assigned materiel readiness reporting accounts or program elements to a level of accuracy expected of a senior analyst.
  • Reviews, analyzes, and interprets various CPE Aviation materiel readiness accounts to ensure compliance with Army regulations and directives.
  • Works collaboratively with the Army Aviation Enterprise to ensure that CPE Aviation fleet management support efforts are consistently provided to enable the highest level of equipment readiness.
  • Reviews and analyzes materiel readiness and logistics data inputs to ensure that CPE Aviation accounts are correct.
  • Provides technical assistance and guidance to customer staff on the materiel fielding process, legacy system retirement, and target system implementation.
  • Participate in meetings with customers, senior Army officers and civilians, government action officers, and other vendors to gather and integrate data, assist with project scheduling, and track progress of assigned work segments.
  • Reviews and consolidates CPE Aviation Fleet Readiness and flying hour inputs from multiple product offices.
  • Reviews and consolidates Program Review inputs from multiple product offices.
  • Receives, reviews, disseminates, consolidates, and reports various materiel fielding-related taskers from higher headquarters.
  • Must have experience with the Microsoft Office Suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Must have demonstrated experience working in a team environment.
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
