About The Position

Rivet Operations Company is seeking a Joint Operations Readiness SME to support MacDill Air Force Base in training readiness integration and governance. The Joint Operations Readiness SME supports Joint Force battle staff by planning, executing, and assessing joint and multinational training and readiness events. Provides functional expertise throughout the Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) to cultivate, assess, and sustain the proficiency of staff and assigned units in performance of joint mission essential tasks.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of SOF experience
  • E-8+/CW3+/O-4+
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years planning and executing joint exercises using Joint Training System (JTS)
  • Operational application of warfighting functions and SOF core activities in a Joint SOF HQ environment
  • Full-spectrum training event management in accordance with CJCSM 3500.03-series
  • 4+ years Joint operations or operational-strategic SOF planning
  • Recent strategic HQ experience within last 8 years at USSOCOM, TSOC, Service HQ, Joint Staff, OSW, or 3-4 Star HQ
  • Strong communication skills, written, verbal, and interpersonal
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with colleagues
  • Must be proficient in the use of Power Point, Excel, Word, Access, (Outlook Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required security clearance for the position.
  • Eligibility requirements include US citizenship.

Responsibilities

  • Support event planning, design, scripting, coordination, synchronization, and execution
  • Coach staff during events to accelerate integration proficiency
  • Provide domain-specific instruction and best practices to Joint HQ Staff elements
  • Observe and record functional alignment and staff proficiency in real time
  • Produce after-action reports with actionable recommendations to address capability gaps
  • Apply operational experience with warfighting functions and SOF core activities
  • Support development of SOF training materials based on instructional design principles
  • Foster interoperability with U.S. Forces, interagency partners, and Host Nation forces
  • Personnel must be available for CONUS and OCONUS travel to support training and readiness events.
