About The Position

As a Senior Loan Operations Administrator - C & I, you'll be responsible for completing duties involved with closing and disbursing loans for a variety of loan products offered by the Bank; with particular emphasis on Commercial lending products. Including lines of credit, commercial real estate, syndication loans, technology banking, and corporate finance transactions. You'll work closely with the business and other third parties to facilitate the gathering of appropriate documentation and collateral information from the Borrower, verifying documents and researching information to prepare closing documents. One of your key responsibilities is to collaborate with appropriate parties to assist in the resolution of any issues or obstacles related to closing the loan such as liens, judgments, insurance, and title exceptions. Responsible for supporting the Loan Operations Team Lead in processing loan requests prepared by Lending Origination Officers. Prepare loan packages for review by Documentation, Compliance and the Lending Origination Officer. Work collaboratively with the team to ensure loan submissions comply with bank policies and procedures, and that completed loan documentation is accurate and properly maintained. Prepare the submission of files for boarding, including disbursements of loan proceeds; ensures all fees are properly and fully collected at closing. Ensure follow up on post-closing exceptions and receipt of original signed document. Monitor tickler files for accounts; ensures credit inquires and UCC filings are researched to determine credit worthiness and appropriate collateral positioning are achieved. Utilize UCC and lien search platforms (e.g., iLien/Lien Solutions) to research and verify collateral positioning. Work with more complex loan packages and assist in the training and development of less experienced Loan Administrators. Review closing documentation for accuracy and negotiate resolution of closing document exceptions with borrowers and/or outside counsel as needed. Prepare closing/escrow instructions for complex transactions, including syndicated loans, participation agreements, and multi-collateral structures. Coordinate with internal support groups or outside counsel to expedite resolution of legal, title, or collateral issues.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of related experience in Loan Administration, Lending and/or Deposit Sales, or similar field.
  • Commercial lending experience strongly preferred.
  • High school diploma required.
  • Intermediate knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services.
  • Intermediate knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
  • Intermediate knowledge and experience of one or more loan types; commercial loan products (lines of credit, commercial real estate, syndication, corporate finance) preferred.
  • Proficient in multi-tasking in a team-oriented environment and focused on the highest standards of client service.
  • Intermediate speaking and writing communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience with iLien/Lien Solutions or similar UCC/lien search platforms preferred.
  • Experience with FIS-IBS, ACBS, or similar loan servicing/booking systems preferred.
