About The Position

Eventide The Linden Senior Living Apartments in south Moorhead, Minnesota, is seeking a Senior Living Assistant to work occasionally as needed (PRN) as a housekeeper. The schedule is 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The position performs housekeeping duties to ensure a safe and clean environment for residents, families, and staff in accordance with Eventide policies and procedures. It may also provide meal services to residents under sanitary conditions and in a respectful, timely manner, coordinating and cooperating with others in Nutrition and Culinary Services.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Long-term care or senior living experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean tenant apartments, bathrooms, common resident areas, staff work areas, and other common areas used by staff and visitors.
• Perform cleaning procedures including mopping, dusting, vacuuming, washing windows and walls, polishing, and scrubbing.
• Assist with sorting, washing, drying, and folding residents’ personal clothing as needed.
• Keep work areas and carts safe and secure.
• Follow infection-control requirements and applicable housekeeping, department, and facility policies and procedures.
• Follow safety rules when using equipment and chemicals and report unsafe work areas or malfunctioning equipment to the Director of Senior Living.
• Maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and staff.
• Restock housekeeping carts, soap dispensers, paper towel dispensers, and toilet tissue.
• Keep equipment clean, locked when indicated, and safe for use.
• Assist with meal service as needed or applicable.
• Offer and serve menu choices to residents in a cheerful and respectful manner.
• Clean and sanitize dishes, tables, equipment, utensils, and containers used to provide meals, along with other assigned cleaning duties.
• Prepare menu items as assigned by the Nutrition and Culinary Director (Coordinator).
• Operate the dish machine according to directions and pre-soak and sort dishes and utensils.
