About The Position
Eventide The Linden Senior Living Apartments in south Moorhead, Minnesota, is seeking a PRN Culinary Assistant / Server SL to work as needed. The role provides meal service to residents and tenants under sanitary conditions and in a respectful, timely manner. The employee communicates, coordinates, and cooperates with others to support the operations of the Nutrition and Culinary Services department. Weekend and holiday work may be needed. The position involves serving menu choices, following portion standards, preparing assigned menu items, monitoring and labeling daily menu items, and storing leftovers according to food-handling standards. It also includes cleaning and sanitizing dishes, tables, equipment, utensils, and containers; operating kitchen equipment and the dish machine safely and properly; planning work to meet meal service times; and helping receive vendor deliveries and store items appropriately. Previous food-service experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities
- Offer and serve menu choices to residents in a cheerful and respectful manner.
- Follow portion-control size standards.
- Clean and sanitize dishes, tables, equipment, utensils, and containers used for meal service, along with other assigned cleaning duties.
- Operate equipment in a proper, safe, sanitary, and respectful manner.
- Prepare assigned menu items as directed by the Nutrition and Culinary Director (Coordinator) and/or Culinary Cook.
- Monitor daily menu items to verify that necessary items are prepared and labeled.
- Store leftovers appropriately according to food-handling standards.
- Organize and plan work schedules to meet meal-serving times.
- Operate the dish machine according to directions; pre-soak and sort dishes and utensils.
- Assist with accepting vendor deliveries and storing items in the proper areas.
