About The Position

WeirFoulds is seeking a senior litigation associate to join our thriving Regulatory Practice Group. The successful candidate will work with our experienced team of lawyers on a variety of challenging and diverse civil litigation and administrative and public law matters including professional regulation and discipline cases, judicial reviews of government and regulatory decision-making, human rights, and access to information and privacy matters. Our lawyers represent professional regulatory colleges, regulatory authorities, universities, Crown corporations, owner-managed businesses, and private foundations. As such, it is essential for applicants to be self-starters, dedicated to entrepreneurialism including client service, client development and the building and strengthening of client relationships. Requirements

• 5-8 years of civil litigation experience, from either private practice or in house, including hearing experience and administrative / public law experience
• Significant experience with professional regulation matters and working with regulatory bodies
• Strong technical, legal, research and drafting skills combined with excellent organization skills
• Demonstrated strengths in entrepreneurialism including client service, client relationships and client development
• Ability to work with lawyers at all levels and be a team player
• Able to balance competing demands as well as being self-motivated, innovative and flexible
• Excellent academic credentials
