About The Position

Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) is seeking an experienced Senior Legal Operations Program Manager to join our Legal Operations Team. In this strategic role, you will lead complex, cross-functional programs that enhance the efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability of SIE’s global Legal Department. You will serve as a central program management partner across Legal technology initiatives, helping shape and execute short-, mid-, and long-term roadmaps while bringing structure, prioritization, and consistency to a growing portfolio of tools and services. The role will work closely across Legal and with partners in IT, Finance, Procurement, Privacy, and the broader business. The ideal candidate combines strong program management expertise with experience working within a Legal environment, hands-on knowledge of Asana, familiarity with legal technology, and a passion for operational improvement and innovation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in program/project management, legal operations, or legal project management within a corporate legal department or leading law firm.
  • Strong program management experience with a demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives from strategy through execution.
  • Hands-on experience with Asana as a project and work management platform.
  • Experience working with legal technology platforms such as CLM, eBilling, Matter Management, IP/Trademark management, or related Legal Operations tools.
  • Demonstrated experience with process improvement and operational excellence methodologies.
  • Strong analytical skills, including experience developing KPIs and executive-level reporting.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across functions and levels.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities simultaneously.

Nice To Haves

  • PMP, PgMP, Lean Six Sigma, or similar project/process improvement certification.
  • Experience with IP and Trademark management applications such as Anaqua, Clarivate, CPA Global, or equivalent.
  • Experience evaluating, implementing, or scaling AI-powered legal technology.
  • Familiarity with SAP, Coupa, Tableau, Domo, Power BI, or similar enterprise platforms.
  • Experience working within a global, matrixed technology, gaming, entertainment, or consumer business.
  • CLOC involvement or other demonstrated engagement with the Legal Operations community.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex, cross-functional Legal programs from planning through delivery, establishing clear roadmaps, priorities, timelines, milestones, and success measures.
  • Serve as a central program management partner across Legal technology initiatives, using Asana to manage workstreams, sprint schedules, dependencies, prioritization, and delivery.
  • Support development of the Legal technology roadmap across short-, mid-, and long-term priorities.
  • Partner with Legal stakeholders to conduct discovery, understand business requirements, and translate needs into actionable programs and solutions.
  • Support a portfolio of Legal technologies that may include CLM, eBilling, Matter Management, IP/Trademark management, e-signature, workflow automation, knowledge management, and AI-powered platforms.
  • Partner with IT and vendors on technology implementations, upgrades, integrations, and ongoing optimization.
  • Provide clear reporting to Legal leadership on program status, risks, dependencies, KPIs, and decisions required.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify and improve Legal workflows using Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Lead process mapping, root cause analysis, and development of standardized processes, playbooks, and documentation.
  • Partner with Legal Operations colleagues on vendor management, budget planning, reporting, analytics, and operational initiatives.
  • Use data and performance measures to identify opportunities and drive better decision-making across Legal.
  • Manage multiple concurrent initiatives while maintaining strong stakeholder alignment and clear communication.
  • Partner with Legal and technology teams to support the Legal Department’s AI and innovation roadmap.
  • Help evaluate, pilot, implement, and drive adoption of AI-powered legal tools and workflows.
  • Identify opportunities to apply generative AI and intelligent automation to areas such as legal research, drafting, contract review, and knowledge management.
  • Partner with IT, Information Security, Privacy, and other stakeholders to support appropriate governance, risk assessment, and responsible adoption of AI tools.
  • Support training and change management to increase adoption of new technologies and ways of working.
