About The Position
Kata.ai is an Indonesian Conversational Artificial Intelligence company focused on enhancing human-machine collaboration through Natural Language Processing (NLP) technology. Their Kata Bot Platform powers chatbots for major corporations across various industries. This role involves drafting, reviewing, and managing end-to-end commercial contracts and legal documentation to ensure compliance, mitigate legal risks, and support the company's growth in its SaaS and enterprise AI business.
Requirements
- 5–7 years of professional experience in commercial law, with a focus on contract drafting, review, and negotiation
- Proven experience handling SaaS, technology, or digital platform commercial agreements
- Understanding of subscription models, SLAs, data processing agreements, and IP clauses is essential
- Experience advising on Indonesian regulatory compliance across multiple legal entities
- Bachelor's degree in Law (S.H.) from an accredited institution
- Advocate license (PERADI) is a plus
- Familiarity with Indonesian SaaS, technology, or digital economy legal landscape is strongly preferred
- Contract Management: End-to-end drafting, redlining, negotiation, and execution of SaaS agreements, MSAs, NDAs, SOWs, and vendor contracts
- Compliance: Indonesian regulatory compliance, UU PDP (data privacy), OJK (if applicable), and corporate governance
- Google Workspace / Microsoft Office proficiency
- Professional legal drafting proficiency in both Bahasa Indonesia and English
Nice To Haves
- Master's degree is a plus
- Prior exposure to investment-related legal operations or corporate secretarial coordination is an advantage
- Experience working in or with a technology company, startup, or SaaS business is strongly preferred
- Experience with contract management tools (e.g., DocuSign, Ironclad, or equivalent) is a plus
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and manage end-to-end commercial contracts and legal documentation
- Ensure full compliance with applicable regulations and internal policies across Kata.ai's SaaS and enterprise AI business
- Support commercial operations, mitigate legal risks, and enable client relationship scaling
- Advise on Indonesian regulatory compliance across multiple legal entities
- Support for investment-related legal documentation and corporate secretary coordination
