About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Business Execution Consultant (Executive Director) a highly experienced individual contributor who acts as a trusted strategic advisor to senior and executive leadership. This role leads complex, high‑impact initiatives that shape business direction, advance operating model evolution, and drive enterprise priorities. Operating with significant autonomy, the Senior Lead Business Execution Consultant brings deep strategic insight, an enterprise‑wide perspective, and advanced judgment to influence decision‑making and drive execution in ambiguous, fast‑changing environments. While this role does not include direct people management, it carries significant responsibility for enterprise outcomes, leadership confidence, and sustained strategic momentum. In this role, you will: Apply deep strategic insight and enterprise perspective to influence senior and executive leadership decision‑making across complex and evolving business challenges. Develop, refine, and advance enterprise‑level or line of business strategies, identifying strategic opportunities, risks, trade‑offs, and success measures. Translate strategy into clear, actionable roadmaps that align operating models, financial outcomes, and risk posture. Partner closely with leaders across Business, Operations, Technology, Finance, Risk, and other control functions to ensure strategic alignment, disciplined execution, and adherence to governance and risk expectations. Lead through influence rather than authority—coordinating cross‑functional teams, resolving complex issues, and driving outcomes across highly matrixed organizations. Prepare executive‑level materials including strategy decks, decision memoranda, and leadership briefings; provide independent, data‑driven insights to inform critical leadership decisions. Establish and maintain strategic execution and governance rhythms, including progress tracking, risk and dependency management, and accountability for delivery. Surface emerging risks, dependencies, and execution challenges while proactively recommending mitigation strategies. Balance long‑term strategic vision with practical, executable solutions that deliver measurable enterprise impact.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Nice To Haves

  • 7+ years of progressively responsible experience across corporate strategy, strategic execution; business management, transformation, or enterprise program execution; and/or operations‑, technology, or risk‑focused strategy roles within a regulated environment.
  • Proven experience at one of the top five management consulting
  • Demonstrated ability to define, assess, and refine enterprise or line of business strategies.
  • Strong understanding of how strategy translates into operating models, financial outcomes, and risk posture.
  • Proven ability to synthesize complex topics into clear, compelling recommendations for senior and executive leadership.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills, including production of executive‑level materials (strategy decks, decision memos, leadership briefings).
  • Experience leading high‑impact, cross‑functional initiatives from concept through execution.
  • Skilled at managing dependencies, sequencing, and trade‑offs in highly matrixed environments without direct authority.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, including the use of data, scenario analysis, and structured problem‑solving techniques to address ambiguous or rapidly evolving challenges.
  • Proven ability to translate insights into actionable recommendations aligned to enterprise objectives.
  • Demonstrated success building alignment across business, operations, technology, finance, and risk partners.
  • Ability to influence outcomes, manage resistance, and drive momentum during periods of change.
