About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Sr. Lead Business Accountability Specialist to join the Consumer Banking & Lending (CBL) CAO Risk Governance, Strategy & Enablement. This highly visible role provides a unique opportunity to influence governance strategy, drive enterprise-wide initiatives, deliver enablement solution and partner across multiple Consumer Banking & Lending products and functions. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to business leaders, technology teams, control functions, and enterprise stakeholders. This individual will identify governance enablement opportunities, drive control optimization efforts, and lead complex programs that strengthen risk management while enabling business objectives. This role requires a leader who can think strategically, influence across organizational boundaries, and execute effectively in a fast-paced, highly matrixed environment.

Requirements

7+ years of risk management, business controls, quality assurance, business operations, compliance, or process experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Responsibilities

Partner with Consumer Banking & Lending product teams and enterprise stakeholders to identify governance, risk, and control enablement opportunities.
Lead large-scale initiatives focused on control optimization, process improvement, and operational effectiveness with Automation and AI top of Mind.
Drive the development and implementation of shared control activities across multiple business lines and enterprise functions.
Influence and support key enterprise initiatives, ensuring alignment with governance and enterprise expectations.
Provide thought leadership on governance strategies that balance risk management with business enablement.
Build strong partnerships across business, technology, risk, compliance, and control organizations.
Lead complex programs from strategy through execution, including stakeholder engagement, change management, issue resolution, and reporting.
Identify emerging risks, dependencies, and opportunities to improve organizational effectiveness and control transparency.
Develop executive-level communications, presentations, and recommendations for senior leadership.
Drive accountability and sustainable outcomes across enterprise-wide initiatives including leading strategic decisions, prioritization, budgeting
