About The Position

This role involves assisting in preparing laboratory specimens and supplies, and may be responsible for entering laboratory orders and results. The position ensures the accuracy and quality of laboratory data in a safe and professional work environment. The Senior Laboratory Assistant is also expected to train and onboard new employees.

Requirements

• High school diploma or General Educational Development Diploma (GED) required
• Phlebotomy certification required or registry eligible to take exam within 12 months of hire
• May be required to have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Nice To Haves

• One year of laboratory related experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Phlebotomy
• Collecting, preparing and processing biological specimens
• Assists in performing laboratory activities and other assigned tasks
• Preparing laboratory specimens and supplies
• Entering laboratory orders and results
• Ensuring the accuracy and quality of laboratory data in a safe and professional work environment
• Training and onboarding new employees
