About The Position

Sanford Health, the largest rural health system in the United States, is dedicated to transforming the health care experience and providing access to world-class health care in America’s heartland. This position will perform essential lab functions at any of the West Region Centers or Phlebotomy Draw Stations. Hours can vary from 4 AM to 7 PM and will include rotating through weekends at either EC Hospital or covering Urgent Care services at a clinic center. Premium Float Rate - $1.25 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or General Educational Development Diploma (GED) required.
• Phlebotomy certification required or registry eligible to take exam within 12 months of hire.
• May be required to have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Nice To Haves

• One year of laboratory related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Phlebotomy, collecting, preparing and processing specimens biological specimens.
• Assists in performing laboratory activities and other assigned tasks.
• Aids in preparing laboratory specimens and supplies.
• May be responsible for entering laboratory orders and results.
• Ensures the accuracy and quality of laboratory data in a safe and professional work environment.
• Expected to train and onboard new employees.
