About The Position

Wieland is hiring a Senior Key Account Executive. The Senior Key Account Executive will be responsible for managing and leading all commercial activities for an assigned customer base within Wieland Rolling & Recycling North America (BU RR) and Wieland Global Services (BU GS), including delivering budgeted sales volumes and margins, managing customer relationships, and conducting business development activities. This position will also work in close collaboration with the Strategic Business Unit (SBU) Leaders to develop and manage the overall strategy for assigned accounts. Coordination of activities with key stakeholders to ensure tactical support of business planning, market intelligence, forecasting, technical services, quality response, and business development efforts tied to designated accounts is also required. This role will also act as a key liaison to the broader BU RR, Wieland Global Services (BU GS), and global Wieland commercial teams regarding assigned accounts and market activities. Accountabilities will be split between both Wieland Rolling & Recycling North America and Wieland Global Services for key accounts, requiring close collaboration with both BUs.

Requirements

  • BS/BA degree in a relevant field (preferably with a marketing, technical, or engineering focus).
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in the industry, preferably serving in / directly supporting sales & marketing and/or business development functions.
  • Track record of working with operations & supply chain.
  • Prior involvement in strategic planning for segment, product line, and/or broader business.
  • Demonstrated capability with enterprise systems (ERP, APS) & applications (MS including Excel & PPT).
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to influence others & build/deliver persuasive arguments.
  • Proven record of leading teams to deliver on objectives.
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills as demonstrated in e-mail, phone/video, and face-to-face in dealing with customers and other internal/external stakeholders.
  • Driven to identify, comprehend, & address customer needs (business, technical, social).
  • Ability to analyze data, activities, and events to uncover & secure opportunities for the business.
  • Facilitate timely & effective decisions via research/preparation, application of judgment/perspective, storytelling, and organizational savvy.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver budgeted sales volumes and margins for all assigned accounts.
  • Establish, manage, and lead all aspects of customer relationships with designated account base (in close collaboration with key stakeholders at Wieland).
  • Develop and lead comprehensive negotiation strategies to achieve targeted results within customer base.
  • Coordinate execution of all formal/informal commercial arrangements with cross-functional parties within Wieland to achieve seamless execution at customer.
  • Own & manage commercial forecast, finished goods inventory, terms, and compliance with special agreements for designated account base.
  • Develop, manage, and lead the strategic and tactical plans for assigned accounts (in close collaboration with SBU leaders).
  • Identify and manage business development efforts in conjunction with Technical Marketing and other internal groups, both with assigned customers and other prospects.
  • Acquire & disseminate market/customer intelligence with the organization, including via mandatory call reports and managing/updating customer profiles in assigned systems (e.g., Wieland CRM).
  • Develop and facilitate relationships with cross-functional teams (including Customer Service, Supply Chain, Production Planning, Accounting, Finance, etc.) to maximize support and value delivered to assigned accounts, including leading project teams as needed/assigned.
  • Responsibly manage expenses, business processes, and other administrative duties of position.
