About The Position

We are looking for an experienced Senior Developer to support further development, enhancement, and improvement to the eXPRS application. eXPRS is a web-based system developed to manage long term care Medicaid services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). The key person will support the following needs of the Operations and Maintenance of our Direct Clients eXPRS application.

Requirements

  • J2EE - 10+ years of experience
  • IBM DB2 UDB - 10+ years of experience
  • Java - 10+ years of experience
  • Eclipse - 10+ years of experience
  • Prior state government experience within the last five years
  • eXPRS Application Development - 1-3 years of experience

Responsibilities

  • Assist with identification and remediation of application bugs
  • Assist with the completion of operational requests in the eXPRS ADOS Backlog
  • Assist with the completion of the application enhancement request in the eXPRS ADOS Backlog
  • Assist with completion of the performance and maintenance requests in the eXPRS ADOS Backlog
  • Assist with the completion of the application refactoring requests in the eXPRS ADOS Backlog
  • Assist with the completion of the User Interface improvement requests in the eXPRS ADOS Backlog
  • Assist with the completion of the data and reporting requests in the eXPRS ADOS Backlog
  • Transition of the concepts and enhancements to existing team members to enable them to provide ongoing support
  • Develop and deliver updates to eXPRS application, including software code changes and documentation.
  • Document completed enhancements to ensure complete system documentation for the eXPRS application.
  • Complete defect and change requests for code modifications associated with the Services that impact the eXPRS application.
  • Engage in multiple discussions with system and business experts as well as attend daily Scrum meetings.
  • Engage with the ODHS business product owner to understand mandatory functional business requirements and timelines.
  • Document solution options, impacted system areas, system dependencies, and gaps in system capabilities needed to fulfill requirements.
  • Engage with the ODHS project technical architect to understand technical standards, and document technical design.
  • Engage with the OIS technical manager and technical lead to review level of effort and timelines.
  • Follow existing requirements management, design, development and issue tracking processes and development standards.
  • Participate in daily and weekly sprint planning and review meetings.
  • Demonstrate understanding of requirements using incremental functional prototypes and receive and document feedback from business and technical stakeholders.
