About The Position

We are seeking a strong Backend Java Developer with a minimum of 8 years of experience to join our federal contracting team. This role is for a government project located in Ashburn, Virginia, with remote work currently permitted. The ideal candidate will be a U.S. Citizen with a clean background, capable of passing a background clearance, and free from financial issues, DUIs, or other legal complications. This is a long-term federal government contract utilizing distributed ledger technology.

Requirements

U.S. Citizen
Minimum 8 years of experience as a Java Developer.
Minimum 6 years of active development and deployment experience in Java backend.
Strong skills in Core Java and OO concepts.
Strong skills in Java and related frameworks such as Spring, REST, API’s, JSON, Database tier.
Good knowledge of SQL and databases.
Comfortable with cloud services and related frameworks including Kubernetes, containerization, Docker, Jenkins, and Git.
Ability to pass background clearance; no financial issues; no DUIs; no issues with law.
Responsible, committed, delivery-oriented developer with a long-term stable outlook.
Deadline and detail-oriented.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

Nice To Haves

Full stack development experience.
Knowledge about Blockchain/DLT/smart contracts.
Familiarity with Go.

Responsibilities

Active development and deployment of Java backend systems.
